This info is for any fans of Mag Garden & Comic Blade out there. I've just been to their website this morning and I just found of piece of announcement news of a new manga anthology magazine coming out called:

Comic Blade Brownie

From what I can only guess, I think that this new magazine will feature shonen and shojo manga. However I'm not 100% sure about this. If you don't believe me, here is the link to the Comic Blade Brownie announcement page:

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am very excited by this piece of news; right before I started class. I was disappointed about Mag Garden ending Comic Blade Masamune and how they only have two manga magazines, being Monthly Comic Blade & Monthly Comic Blade Avarus, but after hearing news about Comic Blade Brownie, I just can't help but to feel excited about it.

Interesting. I'm an on again off again fan of Blade, so I'll definitely buy the first couple of issues come December.

Holy crap! Kagerou Nostalgia is going to be in it.

Now I just need to figure out how to get the raws.

I checked some sites, and it indeed does seem to be both shoujo and shounen in there. I don't get that, what kind of fans are they aiming for? Most guys read only shounen/seinen, and most girls read shoujo/josei/sometimes shounen[at least in japan], and for guys[in japan], there are far more better shounen magazines to buy every week/month such as Shounen Jump from Kodansha/Shueisha[Oh and Monthly Shounen Jump] as well as Shounen GanGan from Square Enix, and Shounen Sunday from Shogakukan, so competing with the numerous shounen magazines will be difficult. I have yet to see guys pick up a shoujo magazine/manga and buy it every week >.>. Maybe it's aiming for girls who like to read some shounen?

They're probably aiming for the same audience as Yell, only with a more masculine touch. You know, love stories with some fan service, but not harem. I haven't had a chance to buy a copy yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing what it has to offer.

Actually, Comic Blade Brownie is aiming at an audience of both boys and girls.

In a previous Flash video of their website, there were two sentences appearing right above the magazine title to which I think is the magazine's tagline. It reads: "男の子も (Otoko no ko mo). 女の子も (Onna no Ko mo)." It translates to "boys" and "girls", I think.

Oh, and just to let you know (probably again):

"R^2 -rise R to the second power-" is another manga that is going to be in Brownie.
