Well, thats mine.

Alot of people don't believe I have a high IQ. I was offered a role in Mensa when I was in High School, but I declined. I saw them as nothing but stuck up people. I'm a know-it-all and I do correct people when I believe them to be wrong, but those people just like to believe they're better then everybody else.

Some of you may be wondering "If you're so smart, why did you drop out of High School?". The answer to that question is that I realized that I could learn everything the teachers would teach me on my own and at a quicker pace. So, I saved two years of my life by doing so. Of course, I wasted those two years, and then didn't even go to College (Due to personal and familial reasons). I'm just now preparing for College, later than I should have, but it will be fine. I have never had any problems learning.

Oh, and for clarification, the Intelligence Quotient Test (I.Q. Test) does not measure Intelligence. It measure you're ability to understand information, process it, and recall it. However, it usually shows you're level of Intelligence because the quicker you can do so, the easier you learn, and the smarter you become.

See? A know-it-all (or Genius, but....that sounds rather Egotistical, doesn't it?).

Also, I agree with what Stealth had to say in regards to Tests. The American School system works in that they teach you the same thing over and over again, then test you multiple times to test your comprehension about what you're learning.

I failed classes alot because I refused to redo the same stupid crap over and over again when I already understood it. Even if you're really smart, they don't change the system, and it gets so annoying having to learn crap over and over again. That was another reason I left High School.

Tests are not important. You can talk to someone about something to see if they understand it, and thats usually much easier. However, that kind of attention is usually only granted in Private Schools. Public schooling doesn't allow for such a thing.

Most of my Teachers didn't like me because I know everything they were teaching, and refused to do all the work. This caused problems and I was considered more of a delinquent than a intelligent student. Eventually, I started to only go to school a few times a week just to listen to some lectures and read about what we were learning. I still learned everything ok, but the absences on my record also hurt my grades.

Eventually I believe that they were just looking for reason not to acknowledge my intelligence, and thats how I got the second I.Q. test administered at my School. If you're still in School and are wondering what yours is, in the U.S., you can talk to a teacher or principal about having one administered. I am pretty its a legal obligation of the school to handle your request and set up a state administered I.Q. test.

The results go on your school record, aswell. So if you're Intelligent and want something good on you record for College, I would recommend it. It's not free, however.

Anyways, since it was mentioned, I figured I would state why I hate tests. I also do not believe that having a G.E.D. or High School Diploma proves you're Intelligent. Anyone can get a piece of paper that says you're Intelligent, proving it is another matter completely.

Yeah that happens to me too. Only mine varies between green, grey, yellow and brown. It is really cool. Anyways. What the hell?? This thread made it to 5 pages? Unbelievable. I guess people who read manga are more chatty than I thought.


From reading most of the answers it seems to me that most of the people who read manga are above average intelligence and share somewhat similar tastes. That's about all that's similar. Lot's of really tall people and quite a few short people *coughs. At the beginning females did not participate much but now there are plenty of them. From chueisha who is 12 years old to a 35 year old marine biologist. Well I haven't yet seen any 80 year old men but the thread is still very alive so who knows? I noticed also alot of new posters. This is great. I only hope they'll participate more actively in the forums from now on. Yay. Escpecially all you yaoi crazed girls. Comeon we're not that boring...sometimes. Oh wait if you are gonna come and turn this place into yaoi central nevermind.lol. Seriously participate more.
