A few days ago I was (well.... I still am smile) looking for manga with motorcycles and I noticed a few of you have one and I didn`t find any topic about motorcycles

So... I decided to open a topic just about them...
Do you have/had/will have/want to have one?
What type do you have?
How long are you already riding?

Maybe you hate motorcyclists? Why?

ohh... don`t forget about your gender! smile

Well right now I can`t come up with any other questions, but if you have any, just shoot

Let me start:
If I only count my motorcycling years I`m riding for 5 years, for the last 2 years I have a Kawasaki er-6f (I`m satisfied with itsmile) I was the first in my family who had a licence, later my dad and brother joined the club biggrin --> Mom is`t really happy about it... smile
I mostly ride in a group of 2, max. 4 riders
For this year I finished my riding season, beacause at this time, in my country, is getting very cold...
By the way, I`m a female

I`m looking forward sharing our experiences
and most importantly
ride safely! smile

Great topic!!.... Best thread on MU ever..... Separates the real people from the pansies.

The Kawi Er-6f is a pretty good bike, I've heard.... Easy to handle and maintain and great in traffic.

I shall refrain from posting a list of all the bikes I've ridden over the years (too many to remember)

My current fleet.

Yamaha R1
(eats supercars for breakfast)

Honda CRF 250 (not my pic, but I have same model, color)

Also have an old, beat up 1974 50cc two-stroke Vespa.... but it's at my mom's house... and it probably needs some servicing.

I've been riding both street and racetrack for more than 10 years (yeah, I'm old) and I'm a guy.... also have a sub 8min 30sec lap around the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

When I was little my dad always took me out on his motorcycle, but I've never driven one.

What I have is a Mobylette. cool You can imagine all the complements I get, when truckers are yelling at me as I totter down the road.

Hello

How nice that a woman started this topic - proud of you laugh (by the way... i know her in person and sometimes we ride together)

Well I started riding recently an I must say i really love it... sometimes even too much smile

I ride Yamaha XY600N... it is naked bike

Well I am a woman... people are often surprised when I put my helmet down laugh

I ride during the whole season. Even through the winter time... well accept if there is snow... but in my place that is rare... thanx god smile

That ain't for toddlers, Doc.

The first time I rode a 1000cc superbike it drained all the blood from my head into my boots.

laugh

lol
And the second part could get a comment from me, but I'd tather not.

Anyways, I've never had a bike of my own. I'm a little scared of them, to say the truth.
Witnessing motorcycle accidents probably had something to do with it...
Kind of shocked me... Seeing some guy's brain splattered on the road while riding the bus didn't do any good, either...
Strange though, seeing car accidents didn't give any kind of shock...

Love them now. I didn't really like motorcycles until I made friends with a guy that was obsessed with them and got me drooling over Kawasaki, Yamaha and Peugeot motorcyles. I'm no good at engines and technical stuff, so I'll just say I drool over their design. XD
By the state of the roads here, I'm seriously considering getting a motorcycle or a scooter before getting a car- since terrain cars are ridiculously expensive, and motorcycles can sneak in so much better between cars and holes in the road -__-''.

Gan buddy, tell me something smile wink grin
Can you put plates on the CRF and ride it on the city? I saw near my home the CRF 230F and people were saying that no can do sad
If it is possible that is the one, better looking that the Tornado... Also I was looking at a Falcon but it looks too much like a Twister for my taste... If I could modify it and make it look like the CRF then it would be awesome eyes

The first bike I will have will be a Honda 150 Bros, but I really hope to have a Falcon or maybe some Yamaha on the same level biggrin

I don't know dude.... depends where you live.

I live in Singapore and you're not allowed to ride it on the road (it's got no head light for god's sake).... I usually put it in a pick-up truck and bring it across the border to ride in the Malaysian forests.

I think it may be the enduro model.... the CRF 230/250 X.... F stands for motocross and X is for enduro.... the X model has headlights and electric starter (i think) ... and would probably be legal in some US states (not 100% sure) but you may have to fit turn signals and number plate brackets.... I know for a fact that enduro models like the Honda CRF X and Yamaha WR can be road registered in some parts of Europe and Australia/NZ, though.

Am I helping?

Nice bike.... I'm not really a Harley person, but the sportsters are probably the only ones I like..... probably coz they're more "real bike" and less "fat dude chopper" laugh

Ride safe and wear a helmet (even if there aren't helmet laws in your place)
