it's had to say weather i hate it or love it cause there are some shoujo's that i hate with a passion but there are others which i just love.
in the end i pick my manga's on the individual mangas story line and usually not because of the genre it falls in.

I agree with you; it just depends on the shoujo.

At first, I didn't think much of shoujo mainly because of the art. But then, gradually, I learned that not all shoujo had that crowded looking art with flowers or a pretty design stuffing the page.I'm liking more and more as long as I can ones that I really like.

It's not that I don't like shoujo, I just don't like most of the art.
That said, I can put that aside if the manga itself is entertaining.

I don't hate shoujo, I love it.
It helps girls believe in love, and for the most part, this is good news for guys, right?

Some stories get too slow or boring, and some are just so frustrating that I can't read on, but there are some shoujos that are extremely good. If the story and art is done right, then there's nothing wrong with shoujo. So no, I don't hate shoujo.

I generally hate it, but I'll read anything if the story sounds good. There are some shoujo that I have enjoyed.
So, if it's shoujo and there's not an amazing plot to back it up I won't touch it. And if it starts all that love triangle/mean girl drama/etc. junk I'll drop it in a heart beat.
And if it has those big eyes like Fruits Basket I can't stand it because it makes me feel ill to look at.
But mainly I just hate 99% of the characters in shoujo. They have horrible personalities.

I don't hate shoujo, but I don't really like it either. If it has a good story and nice art I will read shoujo, but lately I've been taking to reading more josei since the stories are generally better, less repetative, more believable, and more developed.

Don't really mind, the only time when i watched a shoujo anime or read a shoujo manga is when i was a kid, when i don't have any idea between shoujos and shonens. I still have the complete volume Card Captor Sakura in my cabinet.

Quote from Hermit-chan
But surprisingly, when I checked my Public reading list..most of the mangas in my reading list are SHOUJO-DRAMA-ROMANCE.. and I was like " O_____o"??
I guess there are good Romance-Slice of life-Josei type shoujos out there. And frankly, I am very picky on the mangas I read..

haha nice one Hermit-chan...
The first manga I've read is a Shoujo manga. Then how can I hate shoujo manga?

shoujo and yaoi can die in HELL!!!!!!!
....would prolly be what I said a year ago.
strangely i been picking up shoujo series here and there recently. although most of them have semi realistic storyline and usually with a lot of relationship developments. I find shoujos to have some intrigueing romance stories.
yaoi can still die in hell though
