Just want to say that even if you don't read the actually credit page you usually know which scanlation group did it because of the site you downloaded it from or in the file name. It's standard to put the groups name there so it's kind of hard to miss.
I read the credit pages but there is one rule I'd like and it's:

Only one credit page/chapter

I get really annoyed by groups that have like 2-3 credit pages or a separate folder with coloured pictures from readers. Such a waste of space and honestly, if a wanted a nice coloured page I can find a lot better.

Honestly: I didn't used to, but after reading this thread, I read each one of them.

It depends, really. Like, when I start a new manga, I'll read all the credit pages in the first chapter - but, if the same picture with the same names is at the beginning of the next chapter, I'll skip over it. If it's a different picture, I'll read it. And no matter what, I'll read at least one credits page per manga. I like to know who to thank =D

Yes. Sometimes, more so than usual. It usually depends, on how awful or amazing the scans are, or if I needed a better explanation on something included in the notes.

As a volunteer editor [under a different name], I know how much work is put into cleaning, redrawing and picking proper typefaces [and of course, as well as translating and such]. It might sound stupid, but I kind of take it seriously and credit pages are my favorite because it gives me the freedom to let out my creative ideas.

I love seeing interesting/creative credit pages, and very professional looking scanlations.

But beggars can't be choosers, I'll take what's free and be grateful about it.

weirdly though I do pay attention xS
I like to look at them if they're interesting but I'll just give it a glance if it looks dull though
I especially like to read the credit page of Aerandria..it's funny what they're saying about the manga xD
and yeah, I subconsciously remember the names too..when I say subconsciously and I mean subconsciously bigrazz If I were to come across the names, then I'll feel some sort of familiarity but I'll probably can't remember from where
still, I'm bad in remembering names..totally pathetic roll

I don't purposedly read them, but I always end up doing so. I just click on the first file to read (which is usually the credits) and continue on from there.

Yeah I do read the credits, especially if the group bothered to jot down any extra words. But..... I don't remmeber many names, especially if I don't see them for awhile. If the release takes too long or after I finish a series, I'd probably forget them till it pops up again.

But yeah I usually like it when a group says a few words. Kinda like how manga ka do as you read a series. Of course, I HATE IT, when they say something inappropriate(like calling a kid character sexy or something). This has rarely happend but it totally pushed me out of the story. I actually took the page at that time, and showed it around.

In a way...I don't pay attention to various nicknames, but i find it interesting if some notes related to manga or author are included, I also like that some groups mention the magazine issue the particular chapter came from and I pay attention to whenever the actual author is credited, there are way too many chapters and oneshots floating around without crediting the author anywhere, which is kind of ironic.

I really do appreciate the work and the late night stands many
manga groups give for the sake of us reading manga.
I think it's a matter of respect towards the humans who worked hard
for the readers.
I'm an indifferent human but even so i look at the credits.
it's like paying the bill at the super.

so with that said
Kifak hey for the scannation groups.
biggrin

I didn't use to pay attention, because I was so eager for the next page I'd usually skip past it quickly. Even now I still do that however, I always go back and check the credits if I really enjoyed the chapter. Or if it's one of the groups I know well then I look for my friends that work for them to go "Oooh I saw your credit on such and such chapter" to tease them.

I usually just glance at them and then go about my way.

But, there's only one group's I'll actually take a good look at. Mostly 'cause each time there's something different written on it.

I only look for translation notes. Sometimes they are included in the credits page. If there aren't any, I delete it. I usually do this before reading the chapter/volume.
