Once when I was 6...I was so upset at my parents for pushing me hard in school and piano lessons while my little brother was praised for just watching Sesame Street. I packed my bag, then walked around and around the block until dark because I wasn't allowed to cross the street without an adult and I couldn't stay out after the street lights came on. Years later, my Mom told me how my Dad walked around behind me, hiding behind cars and bushes to make sure that I was OK.

After that...I only thought about it, but the reality of the situation always persuaded me to stick it out.

such an interesting topic. cool

and yeah, I always wanted to leave the house and go away. my reasons for running away? well, I assure you, it wasn't for seeking adventure or going out with friends. no, it was just that I was feeling so sad and terrible, in another words, I was feeling damn lonely at that house and I was seeking for a way to save myself from suffocating.

and did I success in running away? well, when I was younger I did try to run away several times but always were discovered after an hour and so. then when I got older I realized I have no where to go so I better bear with my current condition and don't make my life more complicated than what it was.

lol, I still remember the feeling I had when I ran away from home for the first time. I was so small and I had nothing with myself except for my doll and shoes. the sun was about to rise and when I looked up into the air the sky was so blue and vast above my head... ahh, the feeling of freedom.. lol, I think baby chickens feel the same way when they try to fly away from their nest for the first time. bigrazz

Nope. Never tried running away from home. My parents and my grandparents both were wonderful at raising me. Though, at times, I did want to leave the house only due to the fact that my parents were disgusting in love with each other and at the time I found it pretty dead. But, I did end up leaving my grandparents home fairly young because I selfishly wanted to come back to the states. And they allowed me to because they worried I was going to go into depression or something if they hadn't (it was a few years after my parents died).

I ran away several times when I was little. It wasn't deep or anything though. I just didn't want to do chores, and I had this fantasy of building my own log cabin in the woods, so I would pack my stuffed animals in a suitcase and have my sister carry it and follow me while I looked for a place to live until I finished my cabin.

She was older than me, btw. I dunno why she did what I told her.

Nope, never had a reason to. My parents trusted me, so I was able to do pretty much whatever I wanted to.

I've never felt the need to run away from home. I have always loved my family even when my parents are really strict, so I have always been happy at home. It is nice to be away at college though too.

No where else can I go and if I really do go what option do I have.
Lets see:
-go back home and look like a dumb ass
-stripper
-prostitute
-flip burgers for the rest of my life
-sell drugs
-jail for stealing (hey 3 square meals a day)
-homeless shelter or sleep on the street

So, which one would you rather have laugh
