WTF was that eek ?!?! How dare they kill off the original Shaoran and try to replace him with some look alike. It's like walking over to your friend's house and finding someone who claims to be your friend, but isn't really your friend at all, just someone pretending.
CLAMP is one of my favorite mangaka, but why would they do thatconfused

In a subjective way you're absolutelly correct, and i also share your opinion, stupid CLAMP killed the real protagonist and I reiterate my words from the other topic: TRC and CLAMP fail!

Now, in a objective way you are wrong, the one who was killed was the clone, and the original was left behind. This last stance i find it stupid btw.

Why do they do it? Well, since a few chapters CLAMP has really been working on making the Real Syaoran look like "oh poor thing, he suffered so much" and in a flawless strategy they left out the clone so the real one could "usurp" or rather take its "rightful" place. The argument is: he was watching everything via the clone's eye, so readers are not losing the character, they're gaining a "complete-protagonist" or something like that.

Bah, stupid manga <_<

yeah, I wasn't too careful on my wording there by original I meant the first Shaoran introduced in the manga. I just can't seem to think of the other as anything but a replacement. no

I wouldn't agree that CLAMP fails though, X is one of my fav manga of all time. And i thought TRC was becoming pretty awesome during the Tokyo arc, but then they just kinda dropped the ball straight down to hell. Hopefully they will finish TRC soon so they can write something else.

Yeah...I still have hope the clones are alive....if they just end up like that and having no more references to them...I declare that TRC is a failure!
I mean how can they kill the two main protagonists?
Real Syaoran is more like a side character to me and we haven't even got to know real Sakura (flashback doesn't count)

I certainly hope that he's not dead, I thought it was pretty final though.

Real Syoran is a protagonist, as much as Fye or Kurogane are, but in my opinion is not the "main man" here, but such main man now lies in crystal pieces slowly fading, a la' Clone Sakura, except she fade in sakura petals.

I still have hope too, but not too mcuh. I'm positive clamp see think the real syaoran as the real main man, and they are trying to blend the clone actions with his, making it seem like it was him all along. So, i'm positive clone Syaoran is gone for good, but i hope i am wrong.

cloneyyyy....T_T
ill miss him so much. our two main characters from the very beginning are gone...although i know that real syaoran is THE main character, it still makes me sad that our original syaoran from the beginning isn't alive anymore. clone sakura too...

yea, if they kill off the two main protagonist for the first 150 chapters and replaced them with the two we know almost nothing of, it is a failure so i hope something interestingly good happen in the future....

I don't know why there's such complain to start with. Syaoran (both of them) are totally boring main characters. I was more shocked with Clone Sakura's death, but I wouldn't be any sad if all of the Syaoran died.
What I think is happening to CLAMP is that they have so much unfinished works that they don't even know where to put each idea. I need more X and Gohou Drug!

While I love both X and Legal Drug I'm beginning to hope that CLAMP never finishes them since they are failing so bad with TRC. Shaoran started off being a bit one dimensional (as do most manga characters), but I had hopes that he would gain depth after recovering from his insanity(?). Instead "original" Shaoran was introduced who is mostly just like Shaoran was originally, except that I can't stand him. In fact now that the original main character (and I do think he is the main character) is dead I don't even care about the rest of the characters. I can't believe that one of my favorite mangaka or indeed authors in general has created such a terrible travesty. sad

Okay.

So the clone Sakura and clone Syaoran have died.

And now, the the real ones are left with Fai and Kurogane.

...

This is dumb.

There was a hundred chapters worth of the clones' relationship, and now we'll probably have to cope with the real ones.

Hm. Well if the clones died, maybe they'll come back some way...

Chapter 211 was promising. They're all angry, fo' sho. biggrin

Now that i think about it, what happended to the original premise of this damn manga? Wasn't it about getting back Sakura memories traveling through many worlds and at the end of the day, Sakura would forget everything about the Sayoran becasue that's the price he paid?

C.Sakura was the one memory-less, now is dead, C.Syaoran was the one paying the price in order to borrow Mokona (Fye and Kuro too but that doesn't mattter), now is dead too. So, is this mang still about "Tsubasa"·? >__>, honestly, Tokyo arc just runied everything, or Clamp just didn't know how to go on from there.

I would've liked the premise C.Syaoran go bad and become a badass (as he did) but then going back to the good side, but instead, they came up with this.

Fail!!!!

Oh, what the heck.

Chapter 112's out, and now the palce they're in looks like Tokyo? I haven't the faintest idea where they're taking this one.
