I'm procrastinating right now.

I've got a pretty big Engrish project due tomorrow...or rather, today. Now, I still have a good five hours before I actually have to leave for school, so I could still potentially get it done.
Not right now, of course. Later.
Maybe in like half an hour or something.
I say that, but in truth, I'm tossing myself a little wink that says, "You know how this really works."
And I do. I do know how this really works. In the end, I'm not going to do it tonight. And then I'll say to myself, "Well, it's late now anyways, so you don't have to worry so much about getting it done right away."
And then I'll end up not doing it. You know, ever.
Wait, if it reaches that point, is it still even considered procrastination?

I concur.
I'm supposed to be getting some work done before my tutorial this afternoon, I actually do have the subject right in front of me, so what the hell am I doing lurking here on the forums?
I used to fool myself as well, hoping I would actually stop procrastinating at some point, (even planning stuff to do in advance! 🤣 How naive can I get?) but now I'm not even trying to convince myself anymore...
I guess at this point it really isn't procrastination, more like a permanent "oh f*ck that! I don't give a damn anymore." frame of mind...

in accordance with your rant, here are some advises
procrastinating a English project is pretty typical, and personally i think it's the easiest kind to deal with
i don't know what you are working on, but if it's an essay, just take a deep breath, and then write out whatever ideas you have. it will be a lot easier "editing" than brainstorming
actually, the closer you are to the deadline, the more you procrastinate, thinking "i won't make it anyway." you won't, probably. but even a half-ass work is still better than nothing. having something done in time gives you this little pride, which will be a boost later to keep yourself in check.
the best way to deal with procrastination, imo, is to work on your assignments as soon as they are assigned to you. just rush through them all, one after another. when you have plenty of time left, you can enjoy jogging around and patching things up however you like

Nope, I'm pretty sure that's just leaving the work undone.
I usually do that kind of thing as well (Oh later later, and later becomes never) but I only do that when my grades are secure to at least a 'C'. When I'm getting close to failing, that's when I'd really do it--through procrastinating but I still make sure all of the work is done.

Hell, this habit of mine has caused me to fail a couple of classes and has gotten me dangerously close to failing others. In some classes everything works out alright, though. It usually all depends on whether I have to do the work during school hours or on my own time.
Right now, I still have time to do this project.
...But I'd rather get some sleep. I'm pretty tired.
Next time, though, I'll try to just get my work done from the start.
Next time.
Maybe.

nooooo
don't let the tiredness get the better of you
fight it, get over it
feeling tired before doing something is just another form of procrastinating
believe me, when you are done with your work, you will feel fresher than ever

Lucky you.
I can't seem to be able to snap out of it even when failure shows its ugly face a from a lil'bit further away. So far, I've managed to more or less bail myself out every time, but It will probably get me in real trouble sometime.

I'm gonna try and take this advice for myself right now.
Let's give it our best, fellow procrastinators !
Also in the same predicament, currently have 3 out of 6 pages done for English Comp. and I have hit a writers block, not to mention my roommates really distract me. I'm easily distracted.

I have a Physics exam in six hours... I have a copy of his old exam from previous semesters so mine isn't at bad, but I should have at least opened the text book.
We are far behind procrastination now, and yes, I remember telling myself I'll start to get things done on time... 🤣
