I had a short "boy cut" until around 5, when I decided I wanted long hair.

From then until HS, it got progressively longer - I think it was in Jr. High that I cut bangs, but the rest was just trimmed, never really cut. By the last year of HS I was sitting on the ends, which was rather inconvenient. During the last few months of HS, I cut it to around shoulder-length & it stayed like that for the next few years.

Then I grew it longer again because I didn't really know what to do with it & didn't want to spend the money on haircuts. When my older boys were ~8 months old I cut it from waist-length to shoulder-length again, so they'd at least have to be close to me to be able to grab my hair!

Since then I've grown it out for a few years, then cut it to donate to Locks of Love, then grew it out again, etc. About 2 1/2 years ago I got it cut in a bob, with the back quite short & the front longer; since then I've had one haircut (to even it out as it was growing out) & my hair is now down around the middle of my back.

Honestly...I just don't know what the hell to do with my hair. It's thick & straight & I don't have the patience to mess with it much, so the easiest thing I've found is to grow it long, just wash it & let it air dry, and pull the front back in a ponytail to keep it out of my face. 😐

When I was a kid, before first grade, I had soft and shiny wavy/curly hair with cute wispy straight cut bangs.

The time between then and now I hated my hair. I got rid of my bangs, sometime around first and second grade, for some reason. I got lice 3 times until fifth grade (and never ever got them again - thank goodness), and all those times I had to cut my hair short and I hated it. Because of the lice I always had to brush my hair, which ruined my curls and left me with awful thick wavy hair. Also, the one and only time I ever coloured my hair is when I streaked it in third grade... I sort of regret it.

Beginning middle school in grade seven, I had always brushed my hair, but I started to straighten it because it looked less thick. However it took an hour to do, and I went through eighth grade straightening my hair.

This last summer, after school had ended, I got lazy about straightening my hair so I left my hair alone. So right now I have fairly long, soft, curly hair. The frizz is just a total pain in the butt.

edit: Oh, har. Post 300. c;

Elementary:
Shoulder length with side swept bangs.

Middle School:
Slightly longer with no bangs, layered.

8th grade was sort of memorable since I had my hair cut like stairs...instead of the usual layer, they were like square-shaped.

High School:
Asian mullet cut with side swept bangs, layered.

My hair has been mostly the same through the years.
When I was a kid I had shoulder length hair with bangs.
Then when I was 12 I grew out the bangs and kept the same length.
Eventually I added in some layers but still kept it shoulder length.
Usually I cut my hair shorter in the spring than grow it out until the next year.
Last year I got a short layered bob that was longer in the front. Right now it has grown back to past my shoulders. I'm tired of having long hair so I might cut it soon although spring hasn't come yet.

My hair just curls so I don't usually have to worry about getting it cut. If I pull it out straight it goes past my eyebrows lol but it looks like I have short hair pretty much. I've been doing that since high school and I had short hair from before then.

mine
color: black... always have been..

small: the typical short side split kiddy hair..
teen: either an inch long, or i just combed them all back when they grow long.. i'm very rarely go to the barber
college: ponytail.... i let them grow very long. thought everytime i meet my mom she continually push me to cut it short, which sometimes i do just to please her, and apparently this continuation of her making me cut my hair after i let it grow very long make my hair started to curled-up....
now: ....so finally after a few years of that... a few month ago when i visited her, we finally have an agreement not to make me cut my hair anymore before they become a fully curly hair.

Hair does not become curly because you cut it.
It curls up if you have rather curly hair to begin with and gets stronger with age.

I have a boring haircut, but it suites me well. They were short (looks good on me, but I like long hair), dyed and permed over the course of my youth, but I think I like them best when long, slightly curled and not-quite-blonde. My natural hair.

I had lovely platinum blonde hair as a little girl. I want that back >:-(

I've never dyed it because my hair changed colour as I got older, and it has natural highlights and lowlights. It was very blonde, then gold, and now red-gold.

My hair was long, thick and wavy when I was a girl.
I hacked all of it off when I was about sixteen into a *very *short pixie cut, and it was really refreshing. Now that my hair is long again, I sort of miss that hair.

The weirdest cut was a 1920's style bob - helment hair when styled. It looked like pin-curls when I didn't.

As a kid, I used to get it cut as a bob before we went on holiday so I wouldn't get too hot and it was easier to manage.
Then going through the younger years, I just used to plait it and start the stages of taming the wild frizz.
Still taming the frizz, thus I always had my hair tied up as I went into the early teens.
Now, with the frizz successfully tamed, I have my hair around shoulder length, a little bit longer technically if it was straight, but because it's just fully of bouncy curls, it sits on my shoulders. I have light brown highlights with a fringe (bangs for the american speakers). Had the fringe for years now. I don't like how I look without it. It's too weird. So it's staying. For life. 🤣
Edit: Probably should have mentioned it's a side fringe that I have. I used to have a full, but not any more. It grew too fast to bother trimming it all the time.

normal. center parting. hairr is a little longer than to the shoulders (the longer it gets the more it curls). Somehing between darkblonde and brown. The only unusuall are my natural(!) curls. As a child my hair was brighter... I always have my hair open

My mum used to cut my hair as a kid so I used to have a blunt fringe (albeit rather wonky)... As I got older, I grew out my hair and had a side fringe. At this stage, I've cut it into a bob for maintenance reasons (except I need to blowdry it inwards now). Personally, I don't style my hair and neither am I a fan of the hairdressers - I probably visit once in a leap year and just trim my hair myself.

I don't usually follow the hair trends. I just keep mine normal-looking. I like it waist long with layers, permed and colored (pref. brown).

As a kid, ive always donned a very short hair. Kinda boyish atually. And when I was two I was bald and people mistook me for a boy which i think is kinda annoying. LOL

My mother use to give me the classic Asian bowl cut until 5th grade in elementary. I gave myself my first haircut in 9th grade. The top-outer layers were short and edgy, and the inner layers were very long. I'm not really good at describing. I had the same haircut until 11th grade, and the only thing that changed was the color of my hair. And now in college, I'm growing out my hair until the desired length, and I'll be cutting it in a couple of months!

I'm quite tame with my hair. Mainly because there's a conservative business dress code at work. I'm too lazy to deal with roots so I don't dye it.
