The November issue of Gentosha Comics' Lynx magazine announced last Thursday that Hitoyo Shinozaki and Tohru Kousaka's Okane ga Nai yaoi manga will end in the January issue on December 9.

Shinozaki launched the original light novel series with illustrations by Kousaka in 1999. In 2002, Kousaka began illustrating a manga adaptation, and Oakla Publishing Co., Ltd. published both versions until Gentosha Comics took over publication in 2003. Gentosha Comics published the eighth light novel volume on March 26 and the 10th compiled manga volume on March 24.

The story follows university student Yukiya Ayase, who finds himself on the sale block when he is betrayed by his cousin, Tetsuo, in hopes of making enough money to pay off Tetsuo's debts. Ayase is bought by a mean-tempered loan shark named Somuku Kanou who requires Ayase to pay back the cost.

Lilix (Holy Knight) adapted the manga into a four-episode original video anime (OVA) in 2007. Media Blasters released the adult anime with the title No Money in North America as part of its Kitty Media imprint on two DVDs.

I forgot about this manga....I dropped it after like the 4th volume, and I was surprised I even past the 2nd volume, seeing how my naive self was hoping the story would had progress in a better way.

About time this manga ended! The main reason I'm still reading is because I'm really compulsive about finishing manga I already started. Sweet release!

edit: it looks volume 10 will be published March 2015 and the final volume 11 will be published sometimes later and I hope it's soon because I want to finish this #($*@# already.

correction: volume 10 was already released in 2014 and it's volume 11 that's going to be released March 2015.

I saw someone on tumblr say the last volume more or less wrapped things up in the story so I wonder why they postponed it.

Looks like volume 12 was released. It'll probably go on for all eternity now.
