Hi, I looked through the previous posts but didn't see this mentioned. Hope it hasn't. I was wondering if besides "complete/on hold" there could be a "never going to read" or something like that. Or does "on hold" satisfy? Cos that seems to be like we're going to continue. But find there are some mangas I will never continue. Or perhaps not even start.

That's what the unfinished list is for, though strangely enough, the icons don't show in the releases page...

Or you could just make a list for it since custom lists are now available after all...

I'm pretty sure that's what the custom lists are for.
Go to My Lists, and where it says Edit Lists create your own list. There you can make your own "Never going to read" list.

Edit: sorry didn't see post before me~^-^'''

We've had that suggested.
But yeah, the custom lists are good for that. If only they had icons...

Oh, so the custom lists really don't have icons. I saw that red x thing where the icon should be, and I thought it was just my computer having problems. I suppose that the custom lists could have an option to set an icon, and you could pick one from a list or upload your own icon or something like that. But for now, I guess the red x thing serves pretty well as an icon for a "never going to read" list, right?
As far as a "never going to read" list goes, I was thinking about making one for myself, but mine would be so long that it would just be ridiculous. ...Speaking of which, I wonder if there's a limit to how many entries a list can have?

It isn't ridiculous. It protects your mind from hazard. I just made one for myself.

Yeah, it's not just you. ^^
A never going to read list is something many of us would probably want. Me included...

I only have one custom in use right now, due to the lack of icons...

yes I agree with "never going to read" thing
also, if possible, I want some kinds of favorite author list so we will get a notification each time a group take a project on their works 😃

I thought of another suggestion:
Upon making a "never going to read" list, (yup, I went and did it; right now it only has 2608 series, but fear not, for it shall grow), I chose to make it public, for the sake of sharing information (cause I know that some people look at others' lists to see what (or what not) to read). But then, I noticed that if I go to my profile, all those genres from that list were included in the tally of what genres I like--so it then said that my most liked genre was yaoi! 🤢 (note: I absolutely cannot stand yaoi.) Also, the unfinished list (if public) also counts in the tally, which may or may not make sense, depending on the user--personally, I don't want it to be counted. So, how about an option to include/disclude the series on a certain list in the liked genres section of a user profile? Because, clearly, there are people who make lists of stuff that they dislike; and this way they can make the list public without it counting in the tally.

Edit: Thought of another one 😛
Now that my "never going to read" list is pretty well developed (over 10,000, anyway 😛 ), I got to thinking that it sure would be nice to be able to exclude all the series on the list when I'm looking at stuff in the "series info" list, that way I don't even have to look at them anymore. It could be an option in the "advanced search by genre" thing, under "list options"; it could say somethin' like "do not show manga on my never going to read list." Thing is, that would probably require making "never going to read" an official list, not just a custom one.

I have nothing instead of icon of custom list. Just a tiny gap 😢
Btw, making a special "never going to read" list would be great. It's useful to know how many people beware of a certain manga.

Well, it looks like the custom lists all have the "reading" icon now. This is good progress~ 🙂
The next step would probably be to set the icons to correspond to what you pick for the "type" field when you make a custom list, since the options for the field already have established icons.

Edit:
Wow, they did it already~
I appreciate it very much ^_^

Add a icon image to the custom list 😀

New List:
Name:
Description:
Type:
icon image url:

EXISTING LIST

Name | Description | Type | **icon image url **
funny | funny mangas| wish list | bucket.com/mypic/funny.jgp
drama |drama mangas| wish list | bucket.com/mypic/drama.jgp

so this image will be shows like the rest of icons 😉
