Well i was thinking of starting to learn flash and i was wondering which of these should i choose to learn by. Basically i wanna know which of do you guys find more complete in terms of features, compatibilities and ease of use (isn't another term for this?) . I'd appreciate all of your thoughts on the matter 🙂

It's probably best to just start with the new one. I know Flash 8 and Actionscript 2.0, but I've found 3.0 is very different. Considering that 2.0 will most likely be filtered out eventually, it'd be in your best interest to learn the new version.

This is sort of like the 'should I stick with photoshop 7.0 or upgrade to CS?' I don't think the CS version of Flash would be missing anything that ver. 8.0 has and it now has far more compatibility with the other Adobe CS products.

I know I recently upgraded to the CS version of Photoshop and appreciate the new features. I'm assuming Flash would be similar.

Good luck learning!

I think that since Adobe seems to be more dominant, then learn that. Since they're both called flash, they should both be similar anyways.

The newer the better I suppose. I'm planning to get Flash CS3 myself. It's less annoying and has more cross software support like from Illustrator to Flash and so on. And you gotta love the interface of the CS3 too so thats another reason to get it 🙂
