seriously, now I look, I think every day there's a new group created, I think, somehow somebody should put a stop to it. I mean they just don't do much and use up people that could be used for other translations
could be one of the reason manga scanlating is so slow

I always thought Suggestion and Bugs section is for suggestion and bugs of mangaupdate. I think this is the wrong section.

that is a really negative tone towards practically a charity. we don't really have a right to complain.
even with that said though i kinda agree. if the people in the groups that scanlated certain mangas came together they could release everything exponentially faster. there are a lot of mangas that are completed but the scanlations will take several years. it's to bad but we can't do anything about it. it's the curse of not knowing Japanese, Korean or Chinese. otherwise you could just download the raws.

o.O first of all, its illegal internet activity, no one can stop it. second of all, i don't see how they're "using up people", they have free will to do whatever they want with their time and if they aren't doing anything in their group they can switch to a different group if they'd like. no one can stop them for doing anything. at most they could be prevented from registering their group which wouldn't do anything.

First, Manga-updates does not have the authority to stop people from forming new groups.
And second, the suggestion and bugs forum is to suggest changes to the site. Or to report bugs. Not a lot more.
And third, what people want to do with their lives is their choices.
And last, I think this thread has no purpose except to vent someone frustration at failing to get a translator (which I can understand since they are so hard to come by).
But anyway this isn't the right place to do so.
