i'm trying to find out if i should watch the anime or read the manga of these
three

why because i am the president of the student council of course

One Piece: Both, but read the manga first so you can skip the fillers in the anime. 😀

D. Gray man: Read the manga. The anime has much too many fillers.

Kekkaishi: I would say read the manga, because the anime is pretty much the same and manga is still going on. However, I think the producers did a good job on the anime, so feel free to watch it in your spare time.

SO ANIME OR MANGA

Recca no Honou anime is only to around 15th volume of the manga, and the manga is 33 volumes, but the anime version is pretty good.

The other series are pretty average shounen stuff, so it's pretty much which do you prefer, anime or manga. Though Kekkaishi anime has ended for now while the manga is still on going. I think D.Gray Man manga is better (though I don't really read/watch it), but you should check out both to see which you prefer. Well, that's pretty much the same for all of them. But the original is always original - the adaptions often end more quickly and miss some of the story.

Episodes 50, 51, 54-60 (61 is half-filler), 93, 98, 99, 101, 102, 131-143, 196-206 (196-206 is the G8 arc, which is real good to the point where you could confuse it for actual canon), 213-216, 220-226, 326-336, 382-384, 406 and 407 are all filler.

That reminds me, if you read the Eyeshield 21 manga, it becomes real bad from chapter 306 onwards.
