Japanese Resort Caters to Men with Virtual Girlfriends

File this one under “only in Japan”: A beach town near Tokyo has begun catering to a specific segment of young men, ones who play the game Love Plus and have a strong desire to take their virtual “girlfriends” from this game on a romantic holiday in the real world.
Love Plus is a typical dating sim game in which the protagonist, a high school boy, finds himself in a relationship with a young woman. He must work to maintain the relationship. Players can become deeply involved and engaged (no pun intended) with their virtual girlfriends, to the point that one young man even married his in a Tokyo ceremony last year.

Could you imagine? SUPPA RARRO D-LUCKS SWEETA! A super rare deluxe suite that caters to this? Vips only, high costs for one night but uber rare barcodes that give something the players would really want? I mean, honestly, if it gets big enough, the company could start expanding it everywhere, increase selections to even make "custom" girlfriends, and have barcodes absolutely everywhere. Excellent for advertising, excellent to get people to travel or buy crap, and excellent for wiping out the japanese female race (gender).
Imagine, you take your custom made girlfriend to any mcdonalds, and order a combo 1, and virtual combo 1 (for an extra fifty cents). Then you and your VGF sit at a table where you scan the barcode and eat with her. Now imagine that barcode will also add custom dialogue/questions that will slightly change the relationship, possibly. It expands the gameplay and make money!
But this is absolutely absurd. I'm kinda going along with the idea, but seriously...if japan (or anywhere) starts expanding virtual girlfriends that far, we'll be looking at a real life (and more plausible) chobits
