Well, this is just a thought. How about better list stats?

List stats as in:

Likes (From Public Lists Only)
Drama (746), Yaoi (708), Comedy (592)

They could be based on the ratings you gave to each manga, instead of just basing the genre you like on the highest number of series/oneshots you completed.

I would like that. I've been known to purposely add/subtract series to my wishlists in order for certain genres to come up. I happen to have read a lot of shoujo, but it is definitely not one of my favorite genres. >.<

EDIT: Plus, some genres have so few titles they have little to no chance of showing up in your favorites simply because the more generic genres outnumber them. I'm looking at you, Gender Bender.

I agree. I have the same problem: having a lot of shoujo pop up although I'd say my favorite genre is slice of life or seinen.

Yeah... those are some of the reasons why I made this suggestion. Another reason is that knowing what sorta manga the person reads beforehand would be a good indicator on whether or not to browse his/her lists. Or even if you should take his/her manga suggestions seriously.

That's 'cos not everyone shares the same disposition for certain genres like say...horror or even hentai(especially guro). And it can be exasperating for them 'cos I know there're quite a few people who absolutely can't take even the slightest mention of say...horror or even slightly violent stuff.

Edit: Also, I thought of even basing the stats on the number of tankouban each series has but it does seem a bit unfair to any and all awesome series which're 1 to 2 vols max when compared against manga that's like 30 to 50 vols long.
