I'm glad to see the dutch lose, and Van Persie not playing so well. (He is a world class player though. There are a lot of players who, when it comes to international, don't play as well as they do in their clubs. It's not uncommon)
I only want him to do bad for selfish reasons though. I don't want him to play well so his price wont go higher 🤣
Germany v Portugal should be a good game. Gonna pop open a beer and watch that one.

Netherlands started very well but felt the goal too much and never really got into de game again, props to Denmark who marked incredibly well and sticked to their gameplan.
Germany dissapointed a bit and Portugal surprised a bit, but Germany was still the better team, 1x0 was a good result. I wanted to see Gotze. When you have a player like Cristiano Ronaldo you must make him the center of your team, Portugal plays as if he was just another one, he isn't.
Sidenote: Messi is just...just...fuck.

Go Danielino go! Actually it's gonna be a very hard match, Prandelli inexplicably decided to play with 3 defenders (Bonucci, De Rossi and Chiellini) for the first time ever. yesterday was a shock i expected Holland to win that and Denmark to be the punching bag in that group, but it looks like Denmark wants it more. and though Germany won i think they will have to do better to win this tournament.

to be honest , this game is a bit funny
where were spain strikers? why only iniesta who did all the counters .
torres as usual is playing .. NOTHING , his golden era is ended , and he actually never played THAT GOOD for the national team
i was expecting mata to play *sigh
and balotelli was pretty much wasting all the chances

I liked Italy a lot, all the players giving their best and really into the game, I hadn't seen this fighting spirit since 2006.
Maybe if Di Natale had been a starter Italy would have won....Why the hell is Balotelli a starter? I think that sometimes media has too much influence on manager choices, Di Natale is a consistent player, always scoring even tough his team isn't very good, while Balotelli is incredibly inconsistent, what he does best is drawing attention of the media with the shit he does, like accusing the street lamps and the ants in his yard of racism. >:-(
He is quite like Neymar, overhyped by the media.

Spain-Italy 1-1
Not a great match by us, but against Spain it is a good point. Didn't like our midfield and attack, but I think our defense played a great match (De Rossi definitely MVP even if I'm biased being an AS Roma fan). I'd have started with faster strikers and with Balzaretti instead of Giaccherini. Well first match is over, let's hope to play better next ones, we can make it! Forza Azzurri!

Tonight's game was by far the best in Euro 2012 so far. Spain was playing better but Italy put up a really good fight!
I don't have a tight connection with Italy or Spain, but I was hoping for an Italien win.

Ireland is the worst team to play so far, but it helped Croatia to give me some points in my bets. Right winner and Ireland number of goals.

I think Croatia's win is a bad result for my Italy, now we have to win against them on next match otherwise we're screwed like in 2004.

and as i predicted it ... england wouldnt do any good without rooney , they need a playmaker who could break through opponent's defense
although i have to say england's defense have done a very good job , and of course good saves by the overrated joe hart ..
france were dominating , benzema made alot of attempts from outside the box , nasri made it more intense ........ but again , its not enough

England are pretty happy with that result. I was really pissed with their defence though when it came to pressure. Gave France far too much space outside their box. Didn't push and close them down enough, and that's dangerous because France aren't scared to shoot outside the box.
I hate Milner too. I've never liked him. I have no idea why they like him so much. He's so shit.
Oh, and please don't think Rooney could have helped much. His international record has been appalling over the last couple of years lol. It's a nice thought though, that he could prove me wrong. Let's see.

haha yeah rooney didnt help england that much , but we all know , england local players suck big time , there are some who are pretty good : rooney , ashley cole , stevie g , john terry , and the others are foreign players , thats why england are just bad at international events
and actually rooney is a better choice than ashley young

England played a pretty decent match imo. They've just did what was required, albeit very conservatively.
If it wasn't for a couple injuries to players, Milner would've been on the bench today. Rooney would've buried the chance he had about 15 minutes in.
Also, if I was Woy, I would've put in Andy Carroll in at some time during the match. His style of play plus his physical attributes is perfect for the type of match England played today. He'd definitely would've made Lloris work a lot more than he did.
Anyways, it's a good start for the tournament for England. They'll be favorites against Sweden for sure.
