Cold. Might switch to warm in the future though after reading some of the responses here, but I don't know of I could be bothered waiting for the water to warm up.

I shave while under the shower 😀
So its hot but not as hot when I'm showering and not shaving,
though when I finished showering I'm always all red 😛

(It feels like my face would burn off if I use the normal heat so I chose fresh bread instead of desert heat, though fresh bread sometimes might be hotter than the desert, I thought you didn't mean fresh as a few seconds from the oven)

As cold as humanly possible.

Warm water for me, or cold, either one's fine.

I prefer warm though.

I shave in the shower at a pretty high temp. How people do it with cold water is beyond me, won't the razor damage your skin? It feels awful anyway. 😐

Also cool link Toto, didn't know alcohol-based aftershave affects ya like that!

Cold water usually. Don't know why.

The logic for a cold shave is that it contracts the metal of the blade, making for a closer shave. Unfortunately, it also causes the skin to tighten, which results in additional irritation.

Generally either hot or cold works well in my experience, but I make certain to shave after showering.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

Warm water to moisten the skin before shaving and help raise the hairs, and cold water to rinse.

Cold water to save up the hot water since I shave in the middle of showering. ^^;;

Hot water for me. So hot that I have to make faces
and dance like a shaman when I touch it.

I don't shave; I wax instead, I have no idea why , hurts more has basically the same effect, but I suspect it has something to do with various peoples horror stories being implanted into my brain form a young age.

You don't want the water to be cold, that'll keep your pores closed and result in the razor pulling the whiskers rather than cutting them, but if it's too hot then it might also dry out your skin. Warm water and a hydrating shaving cream/gel/soap (usually with glycerin as a main ingredient), followed by a hot towel might be your best bet if you have problems with irritation. You should also avoid shaving against the grain if possible.

I like to fill up the tub with really hot water and dare each toe in until it's warm... Then I shave my legs, diligently. I cut myself too much to shave in the shower.
My OCD goes too far, I think...
