hi, I want a good game with good graphics that can be played with pc. I'm not a gamer, and I'm not going to buy a console. with good graphics I mean it can't look like the avatar last airbender game. that was horrible.

I looked at the games genres and I think I want a platform game? but 3D. and you see the character you play from behind. hmm... Something like Jak and Daxter or Ratchet and Clank. I played those when I still had ps2, what I don't have anymore and loved them. So an adventure game with different levels or with some puzzles. The Lego games are also great, although I played only the Harry Potter one. Also Rayman, but the one I played (something with rabbits) had only these levels and there wasn't a story. which is bad. no cars and no sport. Crash bandicoot counts too.

also, it would be great if you could collect some items and then can come back to the levels to collect it. like in Lego.

the important thing is, that the animation can't be realistic. like normal people. I want more animated characters, like the Lego games. they are far from realistic.

thanks.

as far as I know most(like 99%) of the games that are labeled platforms are viewed from the side. I'm not much of a gamer but when I was a kid I played Sonic, Mario, Donkey Kong etc. and they were like that, unfortunately for you most of them still are, excluding a few rare one's. So for a platform with an old style view but modern I heard a lot of good things for Trine so check that out, and as for 3rd person games(from the back) it's mostly adventure and action games that have those(usually a mix of both) which is basically a lot of killing, tho there are those that give you the option to sneak around and not kill like Dishonored, but it's mostly story driven games that have that without a lot of killing(or not as much XD).....anyways just go to a huge game site like gamespot, ign, gamesradar or others and search for platforms and 3rd person(adventure) games.

Actually there is a great one, that everyone can play and adore, it's called Portal, BUT it's a first person, meaning you see only the hands or what you are carrying, it's pretty great, trust me and try it.

To sum it up, you want a platform or an adventure game for PC with good graphics, puzzles, animated characters, a story line and an item collecting feature, if possible. Side-scrollers, cars and sports in general excluded. You're making it pretty difficult, huh?

I second the Sonic series which has a few titles for PC: Sonic Adventure (1+2), Sonic Heroes and Sonic Generations.
They're great Jump'n'Run games that match almost all of your criteria, but their speed makes your head spin after some time.

If you liked Rayman Raving Rabbids but wanted a consistent story line, you should try a more classic Rayman title like Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.

Tonic Trouble might be to your liking. It's quite old though so the graphics are not that great anymore.

Well, I would've recommended Mirror's Edge if it wasn't for the animation part and the third person point of view. Great story, and the story parts are even kept in a comic-like style, but the game play itself looks quite realistic despite its stylisation.

A really unique platform game is Earthworm Jim 3D. It's an antique, though - so don't expect anything from the graphics - and it's absolutely crazy.

As you liked the Lego video games, why don't you try their other series beside Harry Potter? There are plenty: Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean etc.
