You're going to have a hard time getting that to go through, when one of the primary selections is "Serenity". You're going to have Joss Whedon fans to contend with, and BrownCoats are notoriously fanatical about FireFly (and the movie Serenity, which is the name of their spaceship) since the TV series was so short-lived. Serenity currently has 82% of votes.

If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.

From a bumper sticker I like:

Anyone can tell that Serenity would be the most fitting name for Node 3, if only by looking at the naming of the previous two nodes.

SERENITY Definition:

1. [noun] a disposition free from stress or emotion
   Synonyms: repose, quiet, placidity, tranquillity, tranquilit
2. [noun] the absence of mental stress or anxiety
   Synonyms: peace, peacefulness, peace of mind, repose, heartsease, ataraxis

So even if it weren't the name of the Firefly spaceship, it would still be most fitting. And I doubt the cult following of Firefly has the numbers to influence the vote. Firefly isn't Star Trek after all.

Btw, 4chan is like the blight of the web, like a massive dump that no one cleans... Only in there can such a dumb-ass name for Node 3 spawn.

Oh and Tsuyo_Puyo, it is not a "new nasa station". Don't type something so misleading. Node 3 is just a module for the existing International Space Station. Not a "new nasa station".
