Very much agreed. The second half of it was basically a coin flip every chapter: will it be good or just completely boring (and sometimes nonsensical).
It's kind of a curious case, as a lot of manga have the issue of just completely circling the drain after some point, but here it was just up and down randomly instead. Still a case where removing 25% of the total chapters would have just improved the reading experience.
Well publishers gotta publish I guess...

Ah right. I actually dropped it as it went downhill and became absolutely random but since it's near ending now, gonna pick it up again.

I put this on hold 4 years ago with the intention of coming back to it some day (despite also feeling it had lost some of the initial spark), I'm watching the anime and decided to check in on the status of the manga and lo and behold!
