It does and doesn't at the same time to me. The way I always understood it was that the Edo Tensei wouldn't effect the Hokages because of the Shikifujin move taking away their souls into itself. so if they were able to return them it would be plausible to use them for such a purpose. So it doesn't seem as lame as people might make it out to be. To be honest I look forward to it, cause for one the most epic fights have come from those four, and they do serve as a good equalizer for Madara's appearance.

I'm a bit disappointed that Kishi is only just introducing more of Naruto's heritage now.

Why does Sasuke have to be involved for us to even see a glimpse of Naruto's heritage? I mean, I'm ok with it and everything, but I'll be upset if this is the only time we'll see such.

....I find it weird that Orochimaru could use his arms after he opened the belly of the Death god....I mean he used his hands after the sealing such as when he was going to use the kusanagi against itachi.

If the seal is completely released now, that means the other half of the kyuubi is probably rushing toward naruto right now.... which incidentally is the "evil" ("yang") half. Also, Madara can't defeat Hashirama, so if Orochimaru really wants to stop Akatsuki's plan, he can right now.

Now that is something I forgot lol, but I didn't notice any spirit leave besides the Hokage and Orochimarus arms.

I was thinking that too but now that kyuubi has become good the dark chakra shouldn't really matter should it since he was still pretty much very evil when the light was left after minato sealed the dark chakra. If he doesnt get it isn't a plot whole since he said he something alog the lines of cut the stomack to undo the seal. Seeing that he wasn't the person who sealed them in the first place.

The other half of the kyuubi chakra is sealed inside Minato still.

It did eat his arms, but so did he with the chakra of Kyuubi since it was basically the same thing he did as the third.

True, the dark chakra probably doesn't matter much for the kyuubi's personality, but it probably comes with several new techniques or abilities. Remember, Kakashi and Yamato were about to explain yin and yang chakra types back when Naruto was training to create the Wind Rasengan, but they stopped, saying it was confusing and they could explain it later.

Then later on it was revealed that Shikamaru's shadow binding is one of those two types (I've forgotten which). Having the complete chakra will open some abilities for the kyuubi at the very least. I seem to remember somewhere that they said chakra molding requires balancing both yin and yang... or maybe that was physical energy and spiritual energy. Either way, the kyuubi should get stronger sometime soon.

A problem arises as to whether it will actually return to naruto or just turn into a second kyuubi, but I doubt that will happen.

EDIT: Also, does this mean that Orochimaru can use wood element now, since he switched bodies with a white Zetsu? Some interesting stuff happened in this chapter.

But I thought the Yin chakra went into Minato's stomach and was sealed, THEN it ate Minato, unless I need to reread that too.

I think it was more like the god of death pulled them through his stomach and into it's mouth. The first and second hokages were both sealed "inside" the third's kage bushins as well.

My major lingering question now is why would this obviously very important mask containing the god of death be left unguarded in a ruined temple outside the village. And where are all the Uzumakis? You'd think that if Nagato and Karin and Kushina were all Uzumaki members and they had their own village (Whirlpool), and they were skilled enough to be the chosen spouses of two previous hokages not to mention the only people who ever become Kyuubi jinchuuriki, that there would be more of them in the village, and maybe naruto would have had a surrogate family during his lifetime. I mean, Mito and Kushina weren't abandoned by anyone as "monsters," why should naruto? Looking at the whole story from the beginning knowing what we know now makes me seriously confused.

The third Hokage actually sealed Orochimarus arm inside his stomach/body as he did to the souls of the1st and 2nd so it wouldn't make sense that chakra sealing is any different.
