im starting like the korean dramas and movies...
a good percentage of them have a great story and easy to get into...
i was hoping any recommendations on good series??

like theres 2 that im searching for which i have no idea what the title is...

one i heard is based off a japanese manga, which is recent and about a guy and a girl, and something about a poor family... which that is all i know...

the other is a divorce story, where a guy had to divorce his wife to marry a rich lady so he can save his daughter due to her sickness which requires alot of money

if you guys share my taste... so far, i like....
stairway to heaven
time of wolf and dog
200 pounded beauty
joint security area
wishing stairs
conduct zero
good, bad, weird
into the mirror

these are the ones i can think of the top of my head

Well, I like Hotelier. I never finished it since I couldn't stand watching an hour-long episode back then. Haha, the only k-dramas I have finished are Full House(had some really ugly clothes in it) and Gumiho (the ending was only okay).

Could this one be "Boys Before Flowers", based on Hana Yori Dango? That's the only one that really comes to mind, but there could be others that fit...

My favorite Korean dorama ever is "Evasive Inquiry Agency", but it's mostly a quirky comedy mystery show with very little romance at all.

Second favorite is "Coffee Prince", and third favorite is "Three Dads One Mom".

I haven't seen any of the ones on your list so I have no idea if these are to your taste at all.

Definitely sounds like the korean version of hana yori dange...which is also just recenty aired since last january.

I am not sure if you like my taste...since I see it via what my televisions air.

My Girl, Lovers in Paris, Goong, Attic Cat, All About Eve, Glass Slippers, My Lovely Sam-Soon, All In, Snow Queen and Winter Sonata.

Most the series about are romance based, comedy and some times contains abit of actions specially for All In since its about small time gangster who good luck in cards or something xD...

And i think if you like Stairway to Heaven, you might like Winter Sonata. the plot is almost the same and the main actress is the same...difference is...the main guy

Not a clue, sorry - I generally go for the lighter series, comedy + romance/mystery, and avoid anything that sounds like tragedy or non-stop drama.

There are several threads over at www.d-addicts.com for people to ask for help finding drama titles, so you might try asking there. 😃

Hi! Guy divorcing his wife so he can marry rich lady.. hmm.. in these dramas he doesn't do it to save his daughter but watch anyways, these drams are quite good:

Hateful But Once Again
Last Scandal

As for your first request, do you know which side the poor family is on? If it's the guy's side, these doramas come to mind:

Yamada Taro Monogatari
Celeb to Binbo Taro

Those are Japanese dorama, though, and the original poster was looking for Korean.

Yamada Taro Monogatari is quite funny, esp. if you're an Arashi fan. 🤣

I didn't watch any of those films/dramas. I think 삼거리극장 (Samgeori Geukjang) is interesting, maybe you'll like it! It's a Korean musical about a girl who got her grandma lost into a theater. The theater is, actually, inhabited by ghosts at night, and, as she gots into it, they sing lots of interesting songs.
