cant say anything about my own gender, since i try to stay away from other girls (they scare me!! you cant fight with them, and they pretend too much, baaah), but i guess what i like about guys is.. hair? if their hair is too short they kinda look weird....
anyways i never really thought of a person as "ugly", cuz after i get to know someone i forget all about his looks, no matter how a person looks like, if he is my friend he is at least cute.

For guys... hm, I like guys with a great smile and longish hair. Tattoos and piercings are hot too, but not too much. I really don't know, I think all guys are cute too, if they're not jerks 😀

The main thing that I consider attractive in my own gender should be personality. I don't mind whether my friends are pretty or not. I'm the type that tend to look at personality first. However, as for the opposite sex... I like tall and skinny guys. I like all-rounders. Both with looks and brains.

You should put a lot of thought into getting a tattoo, since it's going to be permanent.. But pick something that has a meaning to you.. Or maybe a tattoo to remind you of something.. Or you can just pick a 'pretty' tattoo.. 😛
