Hi, I was wondering if anyone had a solution to my Windows 7 problem, where it always stops at 63% then reverts to Vista. First off I have an Asus G50VT with Vista Home Premium and I am installing Windows 7 Ultimate. I did the compatibility check and it says it can run it.

I even searched the internet found the help page and inputted the environment variable myself. I even tried the Fixit, but no wizard program came up after I installed the Windows Fixit it just provided links so I don't know if it did anything at all.

Anyways even after writing those 2 lines and Fixit, I tried another upgrade and same thing stops at 63%. Anyone have a solution?

Would it work if I did a clean install? Though if I did that would I need to reinstall motherboard drivers using the Asus disc?

Try a clean install...and Win 7 probably already has the drivers built-in so you don't need to reinstall the motherboard drivers.
