For example, if they are a C-E Translator, and the name gets translated into some random CHINESE name, then how do you know what the original Jap name was? I hope this makes sense. 😀

Many times, the japanese kanji has a chinese equivalent.

For example: 菅原明日香　is Sugahara Asuka

For those that uses hiragana or katakana in their names, it is usually changed into its closest kanji equivalent.

IE: 森野くるみ　is Morino Kurumi but might get changed into: 森野胡桃 in Chinese.

Now you can try inputting the chinese name into a japanese english dictionary that can translate names and it may give you the correct pronounciation.

You could also have someone check the names in the original language version and make sure that they match correctly.

Or, even better still, people could stop translating translations and just translate from the language the author intended.
