Do you have sleep paralysis?
Well sleep paralysis is basically you go to sleep then wake up but you find yourself not being able to move your whole body for a few minutes but your consious throught that time.
if you even had it once then click the "yes" on the poll
does anyone here get them too? share your experience~
well for me when I get them it feels like mental hell. I'm consious, I can hear everything around me but I can't move and my mind starts playing tricks on me like putting me in dreams and then taking me out (if find the process painful, I'm go in a dream then I'm ripped out of it painfully but strangely I'm consious throught the process as well, meaning I can hear the sounds around me like the TV playing/etc...) (oh, am I the only one? I can see whats going around me when I get sleep paralysis but my eyes are closed..)
My breathing constricts so I feel like I'm breathing through a straw and when I think I can move I get paraylsis all over again (so sleep paralysis 5 times in a row) and like someone stabbing me with needles all over my body over and over again(not the 'my leg fell asleep' type I mean actual needles stabbing you over and over..)
so what about you people?

I hear you say "Why?" Always "Why?" You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

Does it count if you're just too lazy and can't muster the effort to move?

I've never had a situation where my whole body can't move, but I've definitely had situations where I can't move my leg and have to pick it up with my hands to swivel out of bed to stand on it so I can start to feel it again (my god does it hurt though), and there have been a few situations where my hand has been completely numb and I can't feel anything at all.
I just thought they were from bad sleeping positions though. Don't think I've experienced what you're explaining about.

Yeah, I have experienced it once.
I was just taking a nap and then when I woke up, I was not able to move at all. My eyes could still see clearly but my whole body felt like being bound down.I tried to open my mouth but there was no sound. It was very frustrating. At that time I thought it was just a nightmare, so I decided to go back to sleep. 🤣

I did, especially when I'm too exhausted, I must say it's very terrible experience, like your body is sleeping but your mind is totally awake, sometimes it get mixed with my dreams and I felt like there's also someone in the room watching me, very very creepy
Nop, but I know people that experienced that.

When I was a kid I used to go through it a lot. It always scared me, because I used to have plenty of nightmares, and so I'd see the nightmare happening around me but I wouldn't be able to move or fully wake up; not to mention the fact that it was very hard to breathe.
But I haven't had it for years.

I have had it once (or twice? maybe) some years ago. It was scary as hell, but I tried to remain calm and not panic...
I wonder if there are people who go through that experience on a regular basis? but your poll doesn't separate them from those who merely gone through it once or a couple of times.

It sounds terrible. I'm the opposite, my body does pesky things like turning off my alarm clock or having conversations with people before my mind is aware of what is going on.
The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.

Experienced it 2 times. I wasn't able to move but I'm aware of everything that going on around me. I can see my mother walking into my room but I can't get my voice out to call her. It felt so weird and a bit scary.... 🤢

in my post it said that if you ever experienced it at least once choose the "yes" on the poll 🙂

Yea, first time, it was horrific. I saw something (which my eyes shouldn't have been able to see due to the position of the "thing" and my head) like a mix between emperor palpatine, a dementor and horrible haunting noises. It was surreal, first I tried getting up, only to realize my body was (or felt like it was) bound, constricted and rendered immobile. Then I tried shouting to realize (or feel the sensation that) the passage of air through my neck has been limited as if it were going through a straw. Then I struggled to move at least my fingers, I felt the sensation that my tendons were tightening, yet my fingers refused to move. It was very horrific and surreal. After the incident, it didn't feel like I woke up at all, as if it all really did happen. I went to sleep again to experience another episode, that very same night.
Sheesh they're freaky...most of the time
Never heard of it till now and never had it. But wow it seems crazy.
