My first name is a variant of Santiago which meas "Saint James" from spanish Santo Iago the patron saint of Spain, although my parents named my after the apostle (james in the english version). My middle name is portuguese for "chick" and my last name is from (a variant of Silvia) which is feminine for Silvius and is also the name of Rhea Silvia mother of Remus and Romulus, the founders of rome. I could change my two last names for Warheit... Maybe I will marry in Japan, there the guy can use the wife's last name 🤣

Hey, you can do that in the U.S. too, my dad did! Took some work, but he's been legally using my step-mom's last name for over 25 years now. 😃

And to stay on topic - I'm not going to post the meaning of my name because if I did, you'd all know exactly what it was. 😛

I'll tell you this - it's a common English nature-based word that has an equivalent in just about every, if not every, language in the world. And that's all I have to say about that... 🤣

raises hand I have another guess! I have a feeling TofuQueen's parents are hippies (they name their kids with nature stuff right?). Is it Rain?

Since Shattered wouldn't let me put my own meaning to my name, I tried looking in one of those baby name dictionaries for the closest ones...

Creissant
Creissant meaning: To create.
Creissant origin: French

Cressida
Cressida meaning: Gold.
Cressida origin: Greek

Creusa
Creusa meaning: Daughter of Erechtheus.
Creusa origin: Greek

(They sound wrong when put together... and who the heck is Erechtheus? He's not my Papa!) 😀

My name is Mir and I really didn't ask my parents what my name means, but when I looked it up on the internet, I guess it means leader. It probably has middle eastern root.
