After reading manga for the last 10 years of my life, I really want to contribute to the community. These two roles are ones I can easily fill since I've taken both Graphic Design and Communications at a post-secondary level. I'm hoping that my extensive skill in English can help with projects, whether it's shonen, shoujo, BL or anything in between. @Dano_Eclipse: That's exactly how I started with scanlations and I knew next to nothing about it, so if you already know Graphic Design, you can do it! 😀
A proofreader as well as QC-er would be amazing, just register at EF's forum and pm me (ayne) and I'll send you the test. Furthermore, if you can imagine working on a website, I'd love to have help with getting a wordpress site running. What do you think? 🙂

@conan143: As I already wrote, I started from zero too, and it's mostly about dedication and practising, then you can do it! 😀 We have a cleaner test on the forum so I can check out how you are doing and there are a lot of guides on the internet (This one is amazing, despite its name lol [url]http://www.insidescanlation.com/etc/The-Idiots-Guide-to-Editing-Manga[/url], I started with it too and even if the photoshop is outdated, you can still find all the functions in the never versions).
