Chapter came out REAL early this week...
Anyway, Oda did a good job portraying young Ace and Dadan as huge assholes, though you kinda can't blame them cause of Luffy somehow being even stupider when he's younger. 🤣
And if this Sabo kid doesn't get killed in this flashback, we might actually see him in future chapters...

Haha, I'm not sure if I feel bad for the mountain bandits or not.
Ace and Luffy were quite adorable as kids. (Disregarding Ace's violence towards Luffy-- hahaha)
Yeah...I wonder if we'll be introduced to any of these new characters in the future?
Edit: Hahah, I just reread the chapter and wow. I love Luffy's lying face! So funny! 🤣

Interesting chapter, even though it was slow, but important nevertheless.
It was amusing to see Dadan and the gang's struggle with raising Luffy and Ace all at once. Also, I wonder if Ace's friend will make an appearance as well?
Anyway, looking forward to chapter 584 when it comes out.

I thought time passed quickly in this chapter (One day -> Panels -> Three Months) def made the chapter more enjoyable as part of a flashback 🙂 yay
and can't wait for big bro to save luffy 😀

This chapter brings back that beginning of One Piece feeling.
Like, if you were to start from this mini-arc... it feels like you are actually starting One Piece all over again albeit a bit differently.

hahhahaha.. i also like the way luffy lies.. it really sucks... my stomach hurts a lot from laughing....
yeah.. hopefully we can see sabo as another character in the future.. hope he won't become an enemy of the straw hat pirates... the flashback are nice... it's showing you the complete story...

Luffy's 'thinking-really-hard' face and 'lying' face in the next panel were hilarious. I'm pretty sure he had the exact same face when he was trying to lie to Sanji about eating all the food one time. I never knew psychotic little kids trying to kill each other could be so funny.
I hope the top-hat-kid survives, but he didn't go to sea with Ace as planned, and this is a One Piece flashback after all.. the last time Luffy had a flashback the 'good guys' were shooting idiots in the head with no warning, and losing arms to Sea Kings..
Next chapter, Luffy gets scalped, hehe 😀

Yeah, based on Oda's trends, that Sabo kid's future looks pretty grim. Essentially by default in a One Piece flashback of a Straw Hat pirate, someone must either 1) die or 2) lose a limb. But I honestly doubt that Oda would go and kill off a 10 year old kid...
Surprising how Ace and Luffy aren't on speaking terms after 3 whole months, especially given how they consider themselves pretty much blood-brothers and Luffy tends to befriend any non-hostile character almost instantly. I imagine something big must lead to that little ceremony where they drink from the same sake cup.
And honestly, what the hell is Garp thinking? How can he seriously expect to leave Ace and Luffy in the care of a band mountain bandits and expect them to become model Marines?
