So, Nishi kills all of his classmates and spares Fat Tae (that seems to be her name now)... and the question is, "What now?" Any guesses as to who Nishi was on the phone with afterwards? And what's with the explosion at the end of the chapter? Could it really be the catastrophe that they had been fearing?

Okay, this is not so exciting as 287 (it might just be me spending the entire week looking out for raws or spoilers of any kind), but it's still good. I think the uncertainty of what it is that caused the explosion that contributed to that.

As for the explosions at the end of the chapter, I doubt that that's the "Atomic Bomb"..or some major explosion. It could juz be caused by the police outside.. (although it's kinda bizzare for the police to do that to a small-scale murder by a highschool kid..) ..hmm..

and about the catastrophe, I think Gantz will bring in loads of people as he can to deal with this Epic Event. That random Reika fanboy in the last chapter could probably be in the Gantz team.

The vampires will probably be involved in this 'catastrophe'.. but the question is..will they be a FRIEND or FOE?

I liked the chapter. It's true that it was predictable but I still liked it. (After all, it's about Nishi xP)
No guesses who he talked to on the phone or what the explosion was. Looking forward to finding out in the next chapter.

I kinda thought that he was talking to the police, since the next frame showed the S.W.A.T. team or whatever they have there in Japan on a roof indicating that he was indeed negotiating with the police. But it could be someone else of course.

The explosion at the end could either be the police or some Gantz members; like Kurono (or someone who he send there). The former is more likely though. Also, I only think he's going to spare 'Fat Tae' because she was the only one that cared about him. He's not going to actually date her.

Lol, I've seen some bb posts (not on this site) about Nishi's classmate being referred to as "Fat Tae". Seeing that there are certain little similarities and that she has not yet been named, I think it's fits.

Anyway, names aren't an issue in Gantz. Some past characters only had a lifespan of one or two chapters, so why bother with names.

It would be interesting to see Nishi finally show some concern for another human being, but I agree with the previous post, he probably wouldn't date her or anything.

Nishi is probably communicating with someone from Gantz; it's unlikely that it's the police. And if that explosion is really the start of the catastrophe, then we can expect that the next installments would be extremely exciting.

I'm glad this chapter was predictable, because if Nishi had done something different, then people would be complaining about how Nishi punked out by not killing everyone but Fat Tae.

FAT TAE? 🤣

Anyway, if that explosion is the start of that war Nishi was talking about, then I'll applaud Oku for getting straight to it instead of stretching out the time until a certain event like most mangaka do.
