Removing inactive users from List Stats

Not sure if this is already being done, but as someone who has gone through waves of manga reading over the years, with months to years of inactivity, I don't think it would make sense to track my list choices during those periods of time. I think it would be more useful to show the list stats of current/active users from the past 3-6 months or so.
Thoughts?

Why not just make a separate list for series that you're "up to date" on, but haven't seen an update in over a year?

Sorry for not responding earlier, didn't see a notification about a reply.
My concern isn't around manga that hasn't been updated in months/years, but users who haven't been active in months/years contributing to the reading/wish lists. Like if there a bunch of old users who have not been on the site in years and may no longer read manga, but still contribute to the fact that the top "reading list" manga are the big 3 (one piece, bleach, and naruto).
