I probally prefer it to real porn too, I'm not particually secretive but I'm not exactly shouting it from the rooftops. Most of my friends aren't really into anime/manga, hentai included (or i dont think they are... ;P ), so the only people i really talk about it with are on forums and people i know online. Yeah - that's right. YAOI refers to sex, smut, doing the deed....

And everyone that knows me seems to know about my obsession for YAOI. I guess I never really tried to hide it but most of my friends think it's kinda funny...although I did get positive feedback on some Minami-sensei works. 😁 Even straight guys have to admit that her shite is smokin'.

My husband likes to refer to YAOI as "gay anime porn" and my sister-in-law called it "queer cartoon sex". They used to like to rag on me about it a bit but that was years and years ago. If you don't get embarrassed, i guess, it's no fun making fun of you, ne?

I guess if you can take the ribbing from friends and family it isn't bad, but what about outside this circle (work, random strangers, or people you meet for the first time but not for the last). You'll probably be known as "that person who likes cartoon porn".

Well at school pretty much everybody knows that i read Manga and watch Anime, so they all jump to the conclusion taht i prefer the animated stuff over the real stuff... i deny it tho.... -.-" and i havn't admitted it to anybody... ANYBODY but i think they all presume i do :'( its hard to defend yourself agaisnt the whole school...

i dnt really talk about it untile my friend tainted my mind and then we would talk about it in Class and the people that heard us dnt even know what we were talking about cuz we would speak in fractured words and letters and then we would say a title and some one would be like WTF u guys talking about family dosent know but most if not all friends know frankly i dont care and im sad for the ppl that think we are weird really they have much better story line then real porn and some really weird non human stuff can happen with tenticals.

Actually no one knows about mine. And I acutally don't look at it very often since I still live with my family and I don't have my own computer. And my dad has a program in which he can veiw everything I do on the computer, so I can't really look it up very often. Also I have religous friends, so they would shun me if they were aware of my hentai habit. Although once I move out and have my own computer, I will have 10 gigs of hentai in the first night.

First, welcome, Gluttony (FMA ftw!)

Second, I think, with modern broadband internet and good servers/seeders, one can download faster than one can watch 😛 Downloading too much just makes a great mess on the HDD, at least that's what I've experienced.

Third: lightning90, I don't think it's smart bragging about selling hentai, assuming that these 40gig aren't legally acquired. However, I neither know how jurisdiction in Malaysia is nor how much the police does against copyright infringement.
