So was this manga cancelled or did the author actually end it on his own 😕

That's what I'd like to know too. It says 3 volumes (complete) in country of origin, so that looks like a premature end to me. Granted, I did feel a little like this wasn't something that would run as long as Ai Kora.

Weekly Shonen Jump is one of the few magazines that really end series due to popularity. Unless you're literally at the bottom for the entire run after a couple of weeks, then nothing should be wrong. 3 volumes sounds fine to me.

Shounen Sunday Super did this with a bunch of series. It seems more like a promotion for authors, and if they do well, they get moved to Shounen Sunday I guess.
