Hi! I'm looking for an anthology that contained a one-shot called "Lion in Moonlight" (I think). A piano student has a rendezvous with a popular student who reminds him of a lion in the desert. I believe the popular student is drawn to him when he hears him playing "Moonlight Sonata" (thus the title... iirc). I feel like the art style is similar to a cross between Yamada Sakurako and Komizu Kiyo. I know it might be difficult to recall one chapter from an anthology; but, it's a super sweet story, and I appreciate you trying! Thank you!

Hmm sounds interesting, I tried looking but its hard to find a oneshot particularly when you haven't read it.
Have you tried the piano tag on advances search along with +/- shounen-ai / yaoi / student/s tag?
You could also try searching with the piano/ lion tag on mangago.
Or you could try asking question on that website.
Do let me know if you find it 🙂 this one piqued my interest.

I've tried; posting here is my last resort. I remember some of the images from it so vividly; I even vaguely remember having to look for it before, which is why I was so SURE I knew the name of it :s

Oh, I hope you find it.
Most forgotten things tend to pop up when we're not looking for them so don't give up hope 🙂
I too have a coupe of manga I remember so vividly yet was able never to find again including some which I've read twice.
I've resigned it to my brain probably messing with me 🙁
Best of luck!

What's on your mind? I usually can track things down, which is why this one is bothering me so much ^^;

I'll take up obit offer 🙂, thank you.
Check this old post of mine. Maybe you know what one-shot it is.

Another one I remembered a few days back was also a one shot in a collection of stories type manga.
It's a yaoi about a rich high school kid who has a home home tutor/secretary/ butler. The kid is very rebellious and doesn't like studying. One day the tutor says he's leaving the household. The kid tries to stop him and cries. They have sex (they were already having casual sex before with no feelings attached) and the MC realises he's actually in love with the butler/ home tutor.
It's too late at this point.
From here things get blurry, like I don't remember if the butler decided to stay, or the MC went along with him or if he met him later after a few years passing by.
All I remember is the home tutor standing by the door, the MC crying and shouting with a large window behind him and then they have really agressive, sad sex.
The home tutor had glasses and dark hair....but don't count me in that tho.
Thanks!

Shitsuji wa Oose no Mama ni is my best guess.

I haven't read too many butler stories aside from No. 99: Omocha Ningen and Kashikomarimashta, Destiny ^^;

And, for the other one, you've checked all of Nojiko's anthologies, yes? Her art style's pretty unique, so I can't think of too many comparable artists. Then again, my knowledge of shounen-ai is significantly less than my yaoi ^^;

It isn't the right one. I actually came across this one while searching but the story is quite mellow compared to the one I read. It had more of a sad tone to it.
I really appreciate tho that you took the time and effort to search for it. Much love ❤️
As for the shounen ai one, I'll go through Nojiko's work once again.
Thank you for helping me 😊

I'm embarrassed after bragging like that ^^; If you remember anything about the art style of the butler story or other details, let me know, and I'll keep an eye out 🙂

No it's totally fine 🙂, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. Iirc, the art was old school-ish. Not sure as I read it a year ago or so.
But I apologise for making this thread about a manga I read when it was about yours ;_;
I'll be on the look for your manga as well.
I hope you find it soon tho 🙂
Thanks❤️

It seems some sites have accidentally had their manga descriptions cut off after updating the site format. I'm 90% sure where I originally found the title to this work has been lost to such an update. However, the work still exists, so if anyone sees it, it still haunts me... XD
