-Author sets up the "long game" by hinting that the person funding/supporting the protagonists, on their little excursions, has a deeper plan in play
-Makes hint so noticeable that you think this issue will be addressed within the next few dozen chapters.
-160 chapters later (Not even half-way through the series)...
-After the protagonists have to deal with Indian mutants, amnesia, Egyptian catacombs, and having to deal with some side-stories that bring in new characters and bring back some old foes
-And, the latest story arc having to deal with the fact that the one "magic trick" that the protagonists were looking for since the beginning is actually used to create monsters...
*Hey, do you remember how this one person was suppose to be evil? Yeah, we're going to bring back that element that I totally didn't forget.
Oh, and the third wheel (The split personality), yeah, we're going to make her just a straight up, emotional, asshole.*
On top of:
You thought the China-Girl was going to be the main villian, but it was me, Sanjiyan.

Yeah, this got old really fast. The last few dozen chapters were nothing more than:
>Time to use magic.
<You just activated my trap spell.
>Well I have a counter for your trap.
<Sucks to be, I have a counter for your counter.
>You fool, I have this one monster that defeats your counter magic.
<Well, I just broke your arm.
>I'm sending the monster out of my feet now.
It all becomes all so tiresome really fast. There's no progression, it's nothing but baits and twists. what's the point of continuing it on when none of it feels like there's any weight to the fighting anymore?
