How to choose?

I have a lot that I want to read but none of them really jump out at me.
So how do you decide?

I do a random selection basis, using genres/types of plot/etc. as "parameters". I'll usually try to mix different types of stories together so I don't get bored.
Edit: Also, I usually go on long breaks and go off to do something else.

It depends on how I feel at the moment.
If nothing on my 'to read' list jumps out at me, I go searching for something that seems right.
Usually, I have some idea of what I want to read (genre, style, etc.)
Or I re-read something a series that I really enjoyed.
Randomly click one.
If it's on my wish list, its obviously caught my eye before. If I can't be bothered to sit there and go through them, wondering which one I want to read, I randomly click one and go for it.
I wanted to read it eventually anyway.
I might as well add I also randomly click on series when they come up on the releases page. Although I have to admit that sometimes I wish I didn't 🤣
I go by the title. If it interests me and it's been on my list for a while...I go for it.
Though sometimes, I might go like Tactics...which is to pick randomly. xD

If nothing I'm currently reading is updated and I want to read something, I just pick one randomly and see if it sounds appealing.

I usually have some certain parameters I want met, so usually I can narrow out the choices by genre and then choose via the descriptions.

I generally search by a mix of genres. If I have a few in mind but can't decide I'll read each summary until I decide on one. If I'm a little more lost i'll look at recommendations for manga I've already read/reading or ask in I'm looking for.. for suggestions if I have in mind the style of manga I want but no names. My Wish list is way too long to systematically search so people's recommendations are usually good for pointing out manga I alreayd plan to read and showing me new manga.
If after all that I still have no idea I'll take a trip to waterstones I'll read one of the dozens of books stacked in my room waiting for me to crack open.
The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.

Online:
If I've read a mangka's work before and liked it, I'd search for her other works. Sometimes I choose by the plot summary if I want something new.
Bookstore:
I look at the art first then read the blub in the back. I "test" in out by reading the first chapter in store to see if it hooks me in.

Normally I would choose a manga that's going to have an anime adaption so I can get a good feel of how the anine might be like. Other than that I would go for mangas that were done by mangaka's that I like.

It definitely depends on what I feel like reading. I'll have my shoujo, shoujo-ai, shounen-ai, yaoi, and ocassionally, shota moments.
If you feel like reading a certain genre, just select it and click the search button. The best way to decide is to have it listed by rating. Whenever I'm having trouble on choosing what to read, I just select the highest rated title to see if it suits my taste.
Another way of choosing would be to skim through a list of titles until a certain one catches your eye. Y'know, the strange, appealing, or catchy-looking title. Works all the time for me, and I've never once regretted it.

Yeah, it depends on my mood that time.
I often reread my favourites until I get sick of them. Some of my favourites are just like my "cheer-up" pills.
When I got bored and hav some mood for manga, I search this forum, read some topics and try out some recommendations. If I am lucky, maybe I will find st I really like.
