I'm thinking the skull guys won't be able to lay a hand on Unohana's group even if they tried. Something along the lines of barriers and such might end up keeping them out while she heals, then Chad will finish them in one hit, hehe.

Although it would be interesting to see Kenpachi's shikai, again, unlikely but still within the realm of posibilities.

Reasons why she could be Nr.1..

1: - She's coolheaded..

2: - She calmly analyzed the fight between Grimmjaw and Ichigo..(showing intelligence, which a Vasto Lorde must have..)

3: - Her earlier 'argument' with Noitarra confirmed that for me.. He doesn't like a woman being higher.. But there's a huge power gap between Halibel and 5.. Or else he would've attacked her..

4: - Aizen would want all that qualities in the Nr.1 Espada.. (Coolheaded, analyzing, intelligent,.. )

5: - Finally, there would be a strong woman,.. (Besides Yoruichi..)

@Greydrak: It seems that Zaraki has shikai.. That has been said in the Bleach Databook, which are the thoughts of Tite himself..

Nel was great as a child, but pathetic as a woman.
I wouldn't like to see Yachiru after some bad transformation ( not exactly in an adult though).

precautionary defense maybe? like in RTS games...you usually leave almost half of your forces for defense unless your absolutely sure you can take your enemy down with a rush attack...but that just my opinion 😀

Is there anything Aizen would still want from SS? Besides, he doesn't have enough Espada now, at least not enough to think about an invasion.

Maybe they're busy with something that involves the King? Or they were also dispatched on Hueco Mundo, but went in a different direction than Zaraki&co. Like straight to Aizen.

Since he sees everything, he must know that they're fighting.. and maybe when Noitorra said that he felt a 'powerful' reiatsu, he meant Zaraki probably..

And the thing that Noitorra did at the beginning of the chapter,.. I think it's a technique to measure reiatsu..

Having the other captains attack Aizen would be pointless, I mean just about all of them have seen his Bankai and would be helpless in a fight against him. They are probably still in the SS protecting it, I mean isn't the king's key still hiden there somewhere?
