On several of the manga info pages here I'm seeing stuff like a 9th volume cover showing a character that doesn't show up for a long while in the manga.

Now, I tend to see these as spoilers, and the warning given when editing a volume cover on this website says don't upload a cover thay may spoil things.

But does showing a character that won't show up for a while (and only showing the character) actually count as spoilers in regards to this website's rules?

Because so far I've just replaced these cases with the 1st volume cover (only done it a few times, I'm not actively looking for these things), since the first volume cover is literally what comes first and will only spoil what the author wants to spoil at the start).

This post has 2 purposes:

1. Ask a mod because I genuinely want this cleared up (If the character/subject in question doesn't spoil plot, but only reveals a character that will exist later on, is that a spoiler?).
2. Get more eyeballs on this rule so spoiler covers aren't used (some I've replaced have been capable of spoiling plot, and those for sure are against the rule).

Just the picture of a character does not count as a spoiler, unless the character died earlier and came back to life now. Generally we want either the image of the latest volume or the first volume
