What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)
No difference in translation but have a translation note

Any media - manga, manhwa, anime, etc. (Any demog, I'm fine with shounen-ai too)
Just no full of sexily illustrated girls
Romance where we can see their feelings being developed or realised

🔹 Story and relationship will lead somewhere
🔹 Hopefully 'portrayed as ugly' or ave looking female lead (FL) bc I have insecurities aha~ ..no jk, but if it's that good then why not 😀
🔹 No meek FL 🙂 Well, no too submissive 'damsel in distress', etc. (but I'm ok with Last Game, KNT, Takano & Sugawara of Tsurezure Children)


Didn't like: Toradora, Golden Times, Ao Haru Ride, Say I Love You
I like: Hirunaka no Ryuusei, King's Maker
If it's popularly recommended pre-2016 in MAL, I might know it alrdy. Thank you~
