I've pierced my earlobe thrice (at the same spot) and the holes have closed thrice. So, i've given up. 😀

I tried to reopen my tragus piercing last week after seeing this thread and it opened eventhough I have removed the stud earring I had there for like 3 years ago already!

You have to keep an earring in for quite a while, until it's really completely healed (which can take a long time, depending on the person), or else they do heal closed again. Even after wearing earrings for years, the holes start closing really fast for some people. 😐

Yeah, mine are like that. But i don't mind, i like my ears hole-free. (:

Why do people get body piercings anyway? doesn't it hurt?

It's usually just a pinch, but God I got my ears pierced at a 6g Wow that hurt so much I had a grey out, that and I bled alot.

On topic, I have 3, my lip and 2 stretched ears(7/16 going to go to 3/4). Im thinking of getting the other side of my lip and maybe a monroe. I get all my piercings done at the best place in San Jose. 😀

Wow, you should've just gone for 16. Did they suggest 6g or did you ask for it?

I asked for it, I was going to stretch them up anyway and I had heard they can start as big as 4g so I went with 6g lol

I'm thinking of getting my tongue pierced.

But I don't know, it doesn't seem really worth it if it is going to end up healing over again.

I totally, completely do not understand the appeal of stretching out piercings like that. 🤣 To each his/her own, I guess. I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't understand the appeal of multiple piercings in each ear like I have.

As long as you keep jewelry in it, it shouldn't heal closed. If you don't want to wear jewelry in it all the time, just occasionally, then you're probably out of luck, though.

Saliva heals, so it's a place where it could close up a lot faster than others.
