Tanabe-sensei seems likely interested in urban legend. The previous one -kekkaishi- feels traditional, and currently a contempore urban legend. In this work she showing her improved drawing skill especially on the background like buildings, or scenery(i hope it is). It was splendid compared to kekkaishi's 1st and 2nd volume. Well of course she gradually leveled up at that work. i always remember in every author's commentary pages, she tend to imagine a fantasy(world) story but can't escape reality, due to her editor.
