for the 1st 4 or 5 chapters of this manga it seemed that Yamada and Shiraishi were getting really close. She was starting to open up to him and even decieded to go to college if Yamada went with her. She also didnt want him body swapping with anyone else and i took that to mean she didnt want him kissing anyone else. Anyway, it seemed like they were starting to like each other.

Then after about chapter 6 or 7, she hasnt done anything at all except sit at that table with her noise in a book. And now it seems as if she's in indifferent as far as Yamada is concerned.

To me, the series has lost some of its fun when that 1st guy found out about the body swapping and now with the student council president finding out, too many people know.

With all the people knowing, the series is going to become the president making them do some task for him each week instead of yamada doing his own mischevious stuff.

I liked the original setup and direction it seemed to be heading at 1st, but now I'm not so sure. It really looks like its going for comedy only with no real direction and no romantic subplots like i was hoping.

I agree that the romance in this manga will be disappointing like Yanki-kun to Megane-chan. The story will probably revolve around comedy with little to no romance. That said, I still find the manga funny and enjoyable.

There are also some twists coming up (Spoilers for untranslated chapters)
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Yamada kisses another girl and his power changes. Now, anyone he kisses, falls in love with him after 1 day. The power doesn't work on Shirashi though, so it looks like there will be 7 witches with different powers and when Yamada kisses them He gains different powers (He can store one power at a time though)

The manga will probably become one huge ass harem.

You kind of should have expected more people to find out and have a rough idea of where the plot is gong via the title, though. Yamada and the Seven Witches. Seven girls, most likely at least some have another supernatural power.

because Shiraishi is girl who difficult to shows his emotions, it would be better if, Yamada and Shiraishi not show their feelings. This story would be interesting if they feelings grow slowly and not rush.

But if you look closely.. as of now it is only Yamada that Shiraishi has kissed willingly (with her spirit in her own body) biggrin

I like the plot as it is now. It's kinda exciting to know the other powers and where did they come from.

Y'know OP, this is exactly what I thought, and then here we are 63 chapters later and I'm still reading.

But I do agree it's a shame that the Yamada/Shiraishi relationship kind of halted after the buildup. Normally, I HATE harems. In this one though, isn't it clear Yamada has feelings for Shiraishi and couldn't give two shits about the other girls? Shiraishi too, cares about Yamada in her own way (a lot less oblivious than Adachi Hana previously).

But yeah, it's definitely a comedy.

I fet the same way, but I didn't totally give up ion the romance subplot. The expressions they both display hint that there are some feelings there. I love this manga though. I just found about it last night and I pulled an all nighter just to read all the way to the last chapter. Anyway, their romance may be a tease but if you're just starting to read it an expect romance, be patient. It's definitely worth the wait FOR SURE.

I posted this message about 2 years ago and since then i've read quite a bit of different manga. I know not everyone feels like me, but Im a little older and i think a little bit of romance makes any story better. Having a girlfriend or two is a big part of highschool. i remeber how I was at that age and that's why its urksome to see these kids having no interest in members of the oppisite sex.

but then again, even though lots of adults read this type of manga, it's target audience is middle school and early highschool ages, and this age group isn't so interested in reading about romance.

Having a girlfriend or two in general may turn out to be the biggest mistake you make kids. biggrin
Never idealize women. NEVER! wink Heck, romance is only possible in fiction.
