In reality, a lot of working mothers are independent. It's just that they love children therefore have them. Even if they have to work, support their children, are middle-class, they can still be independent, happy and age beautifully. So I think the "middle-class working mother" bash is a bit unfair. At the same time, women from other classes (yes, upper-class included) and categories can be just as unhappy and dependent. I really don't know since when the middle-class working mother has become a negative stereotype. And it seems to be even more negative than lower-class people to some. 😲

well, there's that, but they tend to die out quick.
if you're a upper-class woman, then you're more likely to have upper-calss husband. in this case, you can either have children, or not have them.
if you have children, then you're more likely to quit working, at least in the late 30's. after all, if you have kids to take care of, and your husband earns enough to live in comfort, why would you need to work? paying for the daycare costs a lot too. you might as well spend your time raising your upper-class children.

or of course, you can choose not to have kids, which seems to be the fad nowdays.

or, as it is the case of most woman in korea, a upper-class working woman tend to marry late, or not at all.

or, as it is very extreme cases, you can marry a (typically younger) man that has rather less educational background than you, and let him take care of housework and kids! (I've actually seen this cauple of times) 😀

That wasn't what I meant at all.
It's merely my own personal choice.

I don't believe that there is anything wrong with living however you want to, or that people can't find as much or more happiness living in a completely different way than I intend to.

I did not mean to say that being a middle class mother is a 'negative' stereotype at all. It simply seems like a very common expectation for a woman's future, but that doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with it.
It simply isn't for me.

As for being an independent mother...
My choice is due to the fact that I don't like childen, not that I feel they would be a burden or that I would lose any form of independence by becoming a mother. My own family is proof of parents who love their children very much, and work hard both for themselves and for us, and still enjoy a happy and fulfilling life.

Seriously man, never keep condoms in your wallet or anything like that. The heat, pressure and rubbing between the wallet can cause the latex to break. Totally just saved your future.

On the topic I keep my ID, a bank card, a Safeway club card and 3 bus tickets in my wallet. No condoms......or money.

Another question for men out there, do u prefer a gf who is younger or older than you? o.O

For me, until around 18 yrs I was more into older women, now it's around the same age and I think I'll prefer younger girls in the future. 😀
Although preferences are meaningless once you fall in love >.>
Also, it's not true that all men carry condoms in their wallet... I got some at home (who doesn't?) and I take some with me if I go out drinking (you never know) but I don't carry them around usually.
