Flowers/Gifts: I would appreciate it, but if you gave me too much then I would start to wonder if you were just trying to buy affection. Don't women ever feel like that?
Yes. I feel really uncomfortable when the guy pays for everything and gives me stuff... I don't like that.

Oh, I've got a question now! What jewelry could a guy get for a girl without her thinking he wants to be more than friends?
A cute, but inexpensive one, and only if there's an occassion. A non-ring too.

I could never imagine being fawned over. Firstly because I'm not worth it and secondly, because I hate the attention.
I might as well throw it out there then. I didn't read all 30+ pages of this thread, so if it's been asked then feel free to shoot it down without a second thought. (I feel I already know the answer though)
How much attention is too much attention? When does a guy reach the line between "loving attention" and "Get the hell away from me."
I ask because all I ever see is men throwing themselves at their girlfriends feet and I can hardly imagine that that level of attention is comfortable for either the guy or girl.

Is it really upsetting? 😕 I mean if there is a girl who is madly in love with you and she just wants to use of every possibility for showing her love, either by gifts or flowers, will you push her away?
I am asking since I was in same situation once and I am just curious to know others idea's.

I would be flattered at first, because I'm not the kind of guy that is showered in affection, but after a while it would wear on me. Gifts are nice, but after so long, it would start to seem superficial, no matter how much they actually loved me, like they doubted their affections, and try to overcompensate by buying lots of things for me.
Also, I'm not really worth more then maybe a single bouquet, and I am mildly socially withdrawn, so attention like that tends to make me uncomfortable.

Yes, it can get annoying, especially when the guy giving me the gift obviously wants something from me. It's obvious that it's not love, they just want to get in my pants. I always feel like I'm being bought. I like to be treated every now and then, but not all the time. It makes me feel guilty too. I like the occasional sweet gift though. Like one time, I was walking around in a shopping mall with a guy who was courting me. I pointed at this cute stuffed fox at this gift store and told him (just in passing) that I thought it was so cute. A week later, he came to my house with that fox. XD I loved it.^^

Jeans and a t-shirt (or similar): not a whole lot I find more attractive than that.

Well of course I'm not going to buy a girl something unless there's an occasion. I'm not socially inept, thank you very much.

Well, yeah, but it depends on what you mean by alluring. There's cute, beautiful, and sexy clothes on one side, and slutty on the other. I personally pass on the slutty.

I never do that. But I do know guys who do that. They say it saves money 'cause you don't have to buy as much underwear. (I think it's completely disgusting.)
