If you mean physically (like when they're just walking by), I usually notice basic hygiene. Someone who looks like he actually took a bath. And over-stylized hair is usually a minus for me. Gives me the vibe that the guy's too vain and high-maintenance.

from personal experience;
sometimes i act too warm and give wrong hopes. so to not to make it worse i step back.

dressing style then hair then face then body. well though this is what i notice for at the first sight and doesn't really matter. just helps me to stay away from emo boys.

Of course looks have some affect, but I have noticed that the better I know someone & the more I like them, the better looking they get. 🤣

Conversely, someone I think is good-looking at first, if they turn out to be a jerk, somehow they become a LOT less attractive looking. 😃

I wouldn't talk to anyone who is a jerk, rude and chauvinistic. ..even when they are physically attractive or fugly-wise.

Tofuqueen's thinking can be extended to the majority of women. Of course, looks will matter in the beginning. But over time if the non-attractive person seems to have a great personality, more women would be willing to date that person than guys.

Most guys will always have the 'look factor' in mind, while most women are ready to overlook that point as long as she enjoys spending time with that person.

1. Hmmmm, I honestly think that love comes from years of friendship and knowing someone, so I'm not real proatctive about "finding it" since I think it will just gradually develop... Does that make sense 😕 Cause I just really confused myself...
