You don't get high the first time you smoke it. I don't know why but no matter how much you smoke it doesn't affect you the first time around. So I don't see anyone getting hooked just by trying it once.

I got really high my first time... but my reefer friends also say that thats impossible... why is this?

Honestly I think it's because they just don't do it right.

You know many people are high all around you think about all the medicine people gets sleeping pills , ADHD medicine and medical marijuana (in some countries)

Many drugs really helps people to get on with their life. 🙄
Just look at the Japanese they take amphetamine so they can work 2-3 days in a row without sleeping. 😃

I hate nicotine from cigarettes. I dont smoke..cuz it kills ppl and I'm very antagonistic against teenage smokers around my brothers' age.

Then, is contact high a lie? People tell me that they've gotten contact high, while I'm present and it doesn't affect me. I thought I was just special, but now they could have been lying?!

:-(

The only substance I really abuse is caffeine. I would pay extra to get a couple more shots of expresso in my coffee. Keeps me up and shaky with minor heart palpitations, but I get my work done. And then I crash for days. I'm sure my body hates me for it.

I smoke cigarettes and drink on occasion, but that's all.
Someday I might try 'real' drugs, but at the moment I don't have that much interest. Besides, I'd either have to go out and interact with people to get them, or somehow make it myself, and I don't have interest in that either.

Drugs are really dumb. Cigarettes affect not only the person but everyone else around him/her. And the other drugs, as well as alcohol, are a huge bill on health system and give money to the black market which kills and do things as such. It's too much to pay for nothing but escapism.

im just wondering has any person who tried drugs ever escaped it without being addicted to it forever??

i havent tried it once...

just curious here...

All drugs are addictive. They are divided into psychological addiction and physiological addiction. Some are inbetween. Alcohols and cigars are also drugs. Do not do drugs. Curiosity will kill the cat. Do not listen to people who try to persuade you into doing drugs either.

I'm an ex-smoker. I started smoking when I was 12 and stopped when I was 16. At first it was just for fun, but then I it gotten worse. I smoke around 2 packs a day when I was 15, that was during my national exam. I tend to study very late at night so I smoke to reduce the sleepiness and the tension caused by the exams. So yeah, drugs are addictive. Especially if you tried one when you are under a mental or physical pressure. If any of you are thinking of trying any drugs, DROP THAT IDEA! You are just burning your money away to get a relief for just a short period of time. And worse, it could kill you, no matter how old are you! Two of my friends died because of it. One got a lung cancer from smoking and the other one died because of overdose. Both of them were just 18 and 20 years old at that time!

I've been on really addictive drugs before, for medical reasons, but several of them are sold on the streets, especially the ones that are really mind altering. I'm not addictive by nature, but when you start a heavy drug, your body becomes totally addicited, and craves the substance like heck. Seriously, coming off of a heavily addictive drug is hell, psychologically and physically. Not to mention that most have really bad side effects (in my case, enormous memory damage) 🙁
Best to not go too far. I've seen homeless people who started out by smoking pot just once. My advice is to not take the risk; it just isn't worth it.

Did it occur to you that the homeless people you are taking about might be doing drugs because they are stuck in the rut of homelessness, made worse of course by their acquired drug addictions.

Marijuana doesnt lead to other drugs, the illegal nature of it is what creates the gateway effect, being illegal it is being pushed along with other more harmful drugs by dealers.

Smoking weed is really only about as bad as drinking alcohol, though if the alcohol becomes a problem it will severely affect your life, if the weed becomes a problem then its really not even worth being called a problem.

This is probably the biggest part that has made me ever regret doing drugs. It's difficult, to explain to people why you can hardly remember any of your childhood, or why you can't remember people's names or faces. I mean, I seriously can't recall but maybe one or two memories from high school.

But for me, it's not only memory damage, but brain damage in general as well. I still find myself shaking uncontrollably from time to time, and a week doesn't pass without my brain blanking out completely.

I agree to not go too far, because it doesn't take much and it doesn't take long for you to fuck something up.

Marijuana is a gateway drug exactly because the way you think. Well no offense, but just bear with me for a second on this one before pushing the report button. Now, so let's say you don't think weed is bad and you don't think it's harmful. You may even think it's no worse than beer. HOWEVER, this is what lead you to other drugs. The underestimation of the effect of weed will lead you down to other hardcore drugs. So do not do drugs!
