When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was really little I wanted to be a lion or a wolf and I thought acting like one would eventually transform me into one. When I discovered that wasn't possible, I wanted to be a veterinarian or an Animal Planet TV personality like Steve Irwin or Jeff Corwin (I cried when I heard Steve Irwin died, he was my childhood idol). I used to even perform "surgery" on my stuffed animals and used my dad's computer room as the "ICU" or I'd leave my stuffed animals around the house and use my dad's camcorder to "capture this rare species" and I'd pretend to try to capture a crocodile (which was just my teeter-totter) and release him "back into the wild, away from humans" 😛 haha

Edit: Might as well say what I'm planning to be now. Now I'm studying to be an opera singer (who writes books of poetry and fiction on the side) 🙂

A vet. I used to perform "surgery" on my Beanie Babies too! I wasn't really that crazy about it though. At some point I realised I was far too lazy and not nearly passionate enough to want to put in all those years getting qualified, and in the end I'd probably end up stuck in a clinic getting bitten by spoilt dogs instead of roaming around the African savannah or whatever the hell I'd imagined. Plus I'm arachnophobic and I'm terrified of getting bitten by anything.

I realized I wouldn't be a very good vet when I discovered that blood makes me faint lol well not faint really just extremely dizzy. Plus there's a lot of math involved and I can't tell 1 mL from 1 mm or whatever haha I would've just ended up killing the animals I was suppose to be saving
