Password change problem.

I have a bit of the problem with the password change form.
It reads like this (with [...] being the blanks):
Select a password: [...]
Confirm password: [...]
Old password: [...]
Email: [...]
Confirm Email: [...]
Now the problem:
-
If I enter my new password (first 2 blanks), and old password (3rd blank) it reads the following:
You must change both email field (and they must match) in order to change your email address. -
If I enter the above AND my Email in both of the respective blanks it reads the same error.
-
If I enter the passwords and only one Email blank (tried both variants) it also won't work.
at this point I do not know what to do.

Only fill out the 3 password fields and leave all other fields their default

I knew I forgot something.
Upon not entering anything in both Email blanks the following is printed on screen:
Must enter email.

The email fields must be their default values of when you first load the page, meaning the first email field is your current email and the second email field is blank

It worked, thank you!
Though I can't say why this method did not work the first time:
- If I enter the passwords and only one Email blank (tried both variants) it also won't work.
Is an empty field, once edited and submitted, though upon further submissions left blank again, not in its default state?
Did I hit spacebar?
I'll probably never know.
