You know, after some thinking I came to the conclusion that there was a VERY high possibility that it may be related to your avi...
And after some fast digging up on wiki and on the DB here I can see that it might be:

Shin megami tensei

Although apparently your avi is only from spin off... But it was more a good enough clue for me. And apparently it's the spin off that is going to be released soonish in NA... Anyway, it seems to be a huge mess and I don't feel like trying to sort it out. Not now at least lol.

Well for #12 I must say that I'm baffled, no Gender Bender/licensed in the DB that has no releases and could fit in with the pages you posted...

You are VERY close there Stealth. But that is not the manga or the game. It is a MegaTen game, but its not Shin Megami Tensei.

Ok so apparently I was right from the start and it is 100% related to your avi without needing to look more for spin-offs and whatever and it is:

Persona

But the first time, I got nothing in my search and I assumed there was no manga from that. While apparently I just mistyped it. Because now I do get something for that search in the DB...

Note: #42's art looks too familiar for some reason, and I gave up on #12, one of us should updates the genres of that series when the game is done...

Looks like you're really trying to figure out what the rest of them are there Stealth. And yes, it is

Persona: Be Your True Mind . The game that i was talking about comming out this month that im really looking forword to (and am buying the day it comes out), is Persona 3 (AKA Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3), which goes on sale on the 24 this month 😀 .

I wonder if I should give out who licnesed #12 as an extra hint? Also the art for #42 should look familure, but that scene probably won't, because its father then what the scanlations cover on this series (if you are a person who has only read the scanlation on this series). I'm kinda surprised that you haven't gotten #24 Stealth or anybody else yet.

Well yeah, #24 also feels awfully familiar, and if I didn't know it I certainly have read something by the same author, and/or came in contact with the manga before...
But your hint doesn't really help much on this... It doesn't say much more to me than what I already knew the first time I saw the picture.

Ok, sence its getting late and I plain on ending this tonight, I'll give out the extra hint on #12 and #24. #12 is licnesed by Tokyopop and #24 is a manga that is a retelling on a story arc in a HUGELY famous classic series. That should do it.

Edit: Also #46 is a manga adaption on a computer game that is about music (like a magical musical instrument 😉 ).

And what's up with everyone? Nobody is posting anymore when only hard ones are left? It's in these kind of challenging situation that I enjoy myself... Am I the only one that finds it funny to try to guess stuff on instinct and vague clues?

Hmm that is a hugely famous series, but it is nowhere near as classic and old as the one im talking about. Although it was a good guess non the less.

Just as i thought, telling who licensed #12 would give it away. Indeed you are right. (you really seem to step up to the chlange).

Lol, I'm still trying to remember which series #24 was but I don't think I would be able to guess it today. I've already went through my list (of possible series) and it's not any one of them.

And I'm a girl.. hehe.. 😃

Well sence I said that I was going to bring this game to an end today.... well thats just what I went and did. I have given out the answers to the 4 that nobody was abile to get (the answeres are under the image). And in the end, it seems that TheEgoist ends up as the #1 top scorer in this game. You may now go to your kitchen ,TheEgoist, and get yourself a cookie as you have well earned it, and if you dont have any cookies in you kitchen, then you can simply just go and raise your arm in the air, tilt it a bit back and give that back of yours a nice little pat, as you have earned it 🤣 .

Well I hope everybody liked this BIG game (because it took a hell of a lot more work to do then I thought it would to maintain). Also what did everybody think about how it all turned out? was it too big? did its size actaully work out for the best in the end? and so on. Well it will be intresting to find out what you guys thing about that, but I can say that I'm not going to be making anouther game of this size. Because next time when I do anouther one (it'll be sometime before I do 😐 ), it will probably be around 30 images big.

Now I wonder if this thead will just die off again, now that this game is over 😕 .

PS. You must be rather happy Takiko that you didn't turn up in last place in the end 😛 lol.

I cen't remember how it was that I went through the 50 images (I might have clicked through all 50 and see if I recognized any of them), but although the large number may be intimidating, I don't expect myself to identify 50 of them...muchless, 10 of them. ^_^;

A bit, but I'm even a bit happy at being #9. I like my number ranking. 😉 But I think I was #7 when I was complaining about my rank, but I guess when one (or at least me) is done the competition and the pressure is over, I can probably live with the outcome. 😉 Or at least for this.

About my performance
Cons:
-Didn't get the Pluto one 😢 , I'm rather disappointed in my otherwise excellent memory. The way the eye was drawn threw me off, and the hint (though it makes some sense in hindsight.) Problem is when I think Pluto I think Urasawa. And gah, it's the only series I've read that fit with the numbers.
-I sorta thought of the Kenshin one but honestly broken katana and a pierced arm is a bit too common or potentially so.
-Searching for images is a waste of time if your brain tells you, oh that's from Monster, or Planetes, or Nana it is from those series, at least for me. If you're not sure, you're probably wrong, I knew the Pluto one wasn't Eden or Akira but I had to guess.
Pros:
+I won
+I got some pretty obscure (picture-wise) ones.
+A person who doesn't read anything remotely obscure won (not entirely true, but close enough).

About the competition
-One per turn would have made it more "fair". So a reduced number would work well (25-30). The people who logged on at the right time pretty much won or were at the top. Frustratedguy probably would have won if he had joined earlier, or Kana if he had been checking more frequently at the beginning.
-Taking popular ones does work but take a 5 (Yotsubato, that one seemed rather obvious) over a 2 (Vagabond).
-4>3>2, though sometimes leaving 4 and 5s if they're really hard is probably for the best.
-6s were hard I don't think I even read any of them. Props to the people that got any.
-Some people enjoy different things. I'd prefer having no clues (pure memory game) but others (Stealth) like searching for obscure manga, so some should be hard enough so that clues do come into play. Stealth really caught up in the end. So doing research does pay off to those who do it.
